You were running down a dark hall, lights flickering as your feet clapped against the ground. You head snapped to the side to look behind you at a mysterious black figure who was chasing you. Sweat dripped from your forehead as you looked forward again. You ran out the door out to the forest. Your foot gets stuck in a root causing you to trip. Your head looked back to the figure who was chasing you. He had appeared right in front of your face. Your mouth opens to scream, but nothing comes out.

You jolt up in a cold sweat, panting. You've had this reoccurring nightmare since you were young. You never new what it meant, but you've tried to figure out if out for years. Of course with no luck you still hadn't figured it out.

Your name is (F/N) (L/N) and your sitting in your car right now. You had fallen asleep ,parked at your new home. Giving a sigh you climb out of your car and walk around back to the trunk. You pop it open and grab your box of things you decided to keep.  Making you're way inside you head to the elevator and press on the button with a seven. You were on the highest floor with a great view. Little did you know you were moving next to your soon to be classmate.

After being settled in and unpacking your box of things you sat down on the couch. You didn't have much in your apartment. You had furniture, one family picture that consisted of you and your dad, and a TV to keep you entertained. You began to doze off before hearing a knocking at your door.

You give a soft sigh and head to the door opening it. You look up to see a tall man with spiked hair and anime shades. Behind him was a boy who look about your age , and honestly looked like he was forced to come out here. The taller one waves.

"Yo, I'm dirk, that's dave. It's nice to meet ya." You weren't quiet sure how  to react to that, but you gave a small smile and waved. You signed hello, which you noticed his eyebrows raise.
"Oh, uh, are you deaf or something?"  You shake your head and sign that you're mute. He gave a nod so you assumed he knew what you were saying.

The boy behind him had looked over to see you signing, now quiet intrigued. You move a hand to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear as you smiled nervously to him. He gave a nod, apparently he was the cool kid type or something. Dirk held up his hand handing you a bottle of Aj.

"It's a house warming gift, we didn't really have much and it was kinda last minute." He gave a shrug. You take it giving a small smile and sign that it was ok. You ask if they wanted to come in ,but dirk declined saying that he needed to go to work.
"I'm sure Dave would like to stay though." He patted daves back giving him a wink before heading off.

You blink and look to Dave who was kinda just standing there. He took the bottle of Aj from you and shoved his way past you. You puff your cheeks at his rudeness and head in after him. He sits on the couch and pops the lid open drinking the Aj. He was being incredibly rude, but of course, you didn't say anything. You say down on the other side of the couch patting your knees trying to think of anything to talk about.
"yo, you got any daritos or something?" You blink and shake your head and he sighs. You look down unsure what to do. Slowly your gaze  turns to him, seeing that he was just sitting there boredly. You raise your hands to speak to him. 'Sorry if this place is boring and you don't wanna be here...you can leave if you want.' You guess he read your hands because he shrugged. He sips the Aj looking around. You tug your sleeves down over your hands to keep from chewing your nails, and for him to see your scars.

Soon enough you get a few words from him after asking about his brother and himself, though he wouldn't tell you about why he wore those shades. Soon enough an hour passes by and he leaves to his place. He was still pretty rude towards you.

You sigh loudly and lay on your bed face first, starting to doze off.

-Daves Pov-
Dirk heard someone was moving in next to us and dragged me over to meet them. I thought they were gonna be some old man, or some crazy dorky chick. Your eyes were glued to the floor not bother to look at my new neighbor. Though it caught my attention when dirk started to speak, but he didn't get a reply. I saw a beautiful girl who looked about my age standing at the door. She was, signing. I'd never seen someone so good at it. Dirk taught me how to read and use sign language, saying that knowing more then one language was cool as fuck.

She had gorgeous (H/L/H/C) hair, sparkling (E/C) eyes, and (S/C) skin. She was a few inches shorter then me, causing her to look up at us. She was really cute , course though I was only mentally freaking out. I froze up when dirk left me alone with her. I didn't know what to do, so, I did what I knew what to do. Play it cool. Course I ended up looking like a huge ass. Her upset face made my heart sink but I kept the act.  She asked about a few things, about my brother and me, our shades. Course I just answers that they were ironic as fuck.

About an hour i decided to leave so I didn't make a further ass of myself. I flopped onto my bed groaning and placed my shades on my night stand. couldn't believe how mean I was. I just hoped I could make it up to her so she wouldn't hate me.
