"Come on Gio you're late," I groaned, picking up his car keys and my jacket. I ran to his bathroom and looked in the mirror to check if I had red lipstick on my teeth. Luckily, there was nothing.
I ran back out to see Gio frantically looking around his living room. He threw his pillows off the couch, he pushed things off the coffee table, and searched under the couch.
"Que buscas, what are you looking for?" I sighed.
"Mis zapatos, my shoes," he answered.
I rolled my eyes and pointed to the flower plant beside the refrigerator in his kitchen.
"Hijo de puta. Gracias, what would I do without you Kassandra?" He chuckled, running over to the kitchen.
"I'll be in the car just hurry up alright?" I walked out of his house and went inside his car.Giovani had asked me to take him go practice today since they were practicing in Los Angeles today. I knew Los Angeles better than he did but I lived in Oceanside. I never understood why he bought a house here either. I guess that's a perk of being rich and famous.
I arrived to his house early but he was busy with other things. He lost count of time and suddenly the time went from 12:30 to 3:45.
Now we were running late.
"Menso!" I yelled, honking the horn. I saw him locking his front door with his keys. He had his sports bag over his shoulder with his cleats in his hand.
He threw his sports bag in the back and slammed the door behind him when he went inside. I immediately drove off quickly.
"Guess who's going to be at practice?" He questioned me with a sleek grin.
"Quien?" I asked. I already knew the answer to that.
"Carlitos," he teased.
"You know I don't like Carlos," I blurted.
"Yes you do, I see the way you look at him," he claimed.
If only you saw the way I looked at you, I thought to myself.
"He's a good guy but not my type," I admitted. He shook his head, still not believing me.
"I'll put in a good word for you," he said in between fake coughs.
Carlos Vela was a nice guy. He was really sweet and nice, and a down to earth kind of man. He was also a friend of mine but that's all I thought about it. He was nothing more. It was quite annoying when Gio always mentioned that Carlos and I have a thing, when we actually don't.
About five minutes later we arrived at the training place.
"Thanks for the ride, I'll have Javier take me back home. Just bring my car back in one piece alright?" He quickly said as he got out of the car.
"Giovani I-" I started but I cut myself off.
"You what? Love me? I know you do, everyone does," he chuckled.
Love? No, that's too much of a big word.
I blushed, "Don't say stupid things. I was going to say that I just wanted you to be safe. Bye pendejo."
"Adios hermosa," he laughed.
I wanted to say, 'I like you, have a good practice session.'
I just didn't have the guts but whatever.
A/N: So much Spanglish guys! Sorry I had to delete the other Gio story, but I feel like this one will work.
