HER!

The woods are lovely...dark and deep
But I have promises to keep...

....and the whole class broke into an applause as shalmali's enthralling voice reverberated the session! She had just presented the most perfect presentation the literature lecture had ever experienced!
The teacher even couldn't hold back praising her.
And as I looked up to her...she was trembling and elated at the same time. Seems that she wasn't used to all this attention she received. Fidgeting with her I-card, she gave her girlfriends a faint smile as the whole class looked on. When asked to settle down, she assembled her things and straightened her glasses, and stepped down the platform. While she was walking down the aisle I couldn't hold back the urge to interrupt her "Hey! That was one heck of a presentation. Damn cool dude! I am really proud of you!" I blabbered. "Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!" She smiled. I went blank...numb...weak in my knees! I heard some distinct bells in my head and felt like the dog in Pavlov's classical conditioning experiment! Wait is it even relevant?
But I just couldn't understand what had happened with me. Being one of the coolest kids on campus...why did my words fail when I saw her? I mean seriously! Shalmali? Shalmali Pradhan? Whom I didn't even look at since the past year is only the person on my mind today?! I mean how? But she is beautiful! Really beautiful! Chubby, cute, has a beautiful n inspiring voice and a very big heart! Always helpful and kind! Hanging around more with books than people.... The most of the times I ever saw her was in the library... Her wavy hair tied up in a bun and her eyes lost amongst the pages of a classic! (Yes I went to the library once to search my friend who was sleeping there!)
Looking at her...she's totally not of my type! Maybe I'm not of her type! But there's this something that takes me to her...that wants me to try! A part of me that doesn't want her....but that needs her!
