Part - 14

Albert made nandini understand that manik’s decision to marry her asap is for her own happiness. Nandini thanked him & left his room. Soon she finished all her work & reached back home at around 6 in the evening. She packed her bags n then spent some time with manik about his work; the past 7 yrs & much more. It was around 9 when they decided to go out for dinner. Manik asked her to get ready while he waited for her. 15 minutes latr, nandini opened the door n came out in front of him. The moment he saw her, his jaw dropped. As she came closer all he could say was “BEAUTIFUL!!!!!”. Nandini smiled at it & then both of them went out for dinner. Nandini was scared that someone would recognize manik, but manik assured her otherwise & calmed her down. They had a gr8 time with a few romantic & cosy moments… That night they again slept hugging each other, with all love n care.
The next morning the beautiful couple boarded a flight to London. Nandini was very much worried about manik’s health. She had taken with her a lot of medicines & other medical items for anytime emergency. All she prayed was no complications in his health condition. It was a long journey but the entire time they were either talking slowly or sleeping on each other’s shoulder. At times, nandini forcefully gave him his medicines & they were having small cute fights….. As their flight landed at the destination nandini’s tension was relieved. They were about the get down the flight when an air hostess asked manik,
Air hostess: are u 2 married???
Manik looked towards nandini & smilingly said,
Manik: no!!
Just then nandini interrupted,
Nandini: but we r soon going to….
Air hostess: ( with a broad smile) I just wish ur relationship stays as beautiful. It is today forever….. I hv really never seen any couple taking care of each other so lovingly…
Manik: ohh thank u very much
Nandini: that’s really sweet of u…. thank u…
And with this they headed out to the airport, where Rishab was waiting 4 them. As per manik’s instructions, Rishab hadn’t told any1 about their arrival, no one knew that nandini was coming home. They reached her place in about half n hr, where nandini was the 1st one to enter & surprise every1. All of them hugged her, blessed her & shot hundred questions about her sudden arrival. But before replying to them nandini said,
Nandini : amms, chacha, chachi….. I hvn’t come alone…. There is sum1 else also with me…
She gestured Rishab to get manik in, who ran out. The next moment manik entered the house behind him. And as expected all the 3 elders were shocked to see him there. Amms had met him only once & that time too she didn’t understand him properly bcoz of the pandit, but in all these yrs chachi had told her a lot of things about him, which ultimately made her love him too….. “Manik!!” chachi said & went forward to hug him. Manik hugged her back n then went forward to meet amms n chacha. Amms smiled at him & went near him, manik joined his hands in a respectful namastee & bent down to touch her feet, when nandini shouted “manik stop!!”. All the others turned towards her fully shocked. She went closer to manik & said,
Nandini: manik u can’t touch amms feet.
Manik: but y??? what happened nandini??
Nandini: (to amms) sorry amms…. But manik has just had a major surgery a few days back n his stitches as still fresh…. So he can’t bend down n strain his wounds…
Amms: surgery??? Why what happened??
Manik: it’s a long story… I’ll tell u all latr..
They all settled down n had some food, after which nandini again gv manik his medicines. She was sitting with amms n chachi. About n hr latr she saw manik n Rishab sitting together n talking, when manik said to Rishab,
Manik: come, I’ll show u a few of our band’s recordings….
Just then nandini got up & went towards him, she held his hand n took him to the other side of the room. Her entire family was staring at them, wondering what was she doing…. As she got him to a side manik asked,
Manik: nandini what r u doing….. can’t u see every1 is watching us…??
Nandini: manik shut up I m not doing anything whatever u r thinking…. So I don’t hv any problem in their watching us…
Manik smiled at her & she continued,
Nandini: manik….. plz be serious… u hv had a long journey n u need rest…. If not u then at least ur wounds need rest. So plz, u can talk to Rishab latr also, for now its late n u should go n hv rest.
Manik: nandini yr, its just 9 n I m fine…. Why r u so worried??? Look at me I m perfectly fine in front of u…
Nandini: manik… plz for me…
Manik: ohk fine… let me just tell this to Rishab..
Nandini: I’ll handle everything here u go…
Manik: u sure….u’ll hadle it???
Nandini: yes manik…. Its my family, I knw them very well.
Manik: fine then…. But I’ll go only on one condition.
Nandini: now what??
Manik: u too hv had a long journey….. so promise me that u will also go n hv rest now..
Nandini smiled at him & promised him the same. She pushed him inside & turned towards her family…. As she went closer she remembered something, so she turned back n shouted,
Nandini: manik…, ur room is the 2nd on the left.
Manik: ohh thanks… ( the voice came in return)
Nandini went towards Rishab n said,
Nandini: Rishab, manik has said that he’ll show u his recordings tomorrow, when he is totally fresh after taking rest.
Rishab smiled at her n chachi said,
Chachi: its gud that u told him to rest…. The journey must hv been tiresome for u both…… I think u too should go n take rest 4 sometime & then we all will sit n talk tomorrow mrng….
Nandini agreed n moved towards her room, but only after chachi assured her that she’ll check on manik. That night nandini didn’t even wake up once…. She was tired n hence got a sound sleep. The next mrng, nandini got up & came out, Amms smiled at her n asked,
Amms: nandu, u got proper rest or not
Nandini: yes Amms…
Chachi: chalo good…. I hv just prepared some snacks for u all…. Come na…
Nandini: ji chachi..
Amms noticed nandini looking towards manik’s room again n again so she said,
Amms: nandini, 1st go n check on manik….. Wake him up, he will also join us in the breakfast then..
Nandini: ohk Amms….
Nandini turned & went towards manik’s room. She entered the room & saw manik sleeping peacefully… she went closer & caressed his face, “manik!!!” she said slowly….. Manik moved a bit n then again slept facing the other side. Nandini smiled at him n again repeated the same thing…. Manik slowly opened his eyes n smiled at her…
Nandini: manik get up…. Amms is calling us 4 the breakfast..
Manik got up slowly n said,
Manik: I wish, I would hv listened to u before n came here after a few days…… from the past 3 days, I hv got a habbit to curdle up with u & sleep. It was so difficult 4 me to sleep without u now. Nandini blushed a bit n then said,
Nandini: now stop all this n lets go out..
Manik: hmn just a minute…. I’ll come.
Manik got up, washed his face n freshened up & came out of the washroom. He was about to move out of the door when nandini stopped him.
Nandini: manik can’t u were all cloths when u r at home….. look at urself… will u come out in these inners n shorts….. at least wear a T-shirt over it…. Amms, chacha, chachi all are at home.
Manik: sorry!!
He wore a T-shirt & they both came out. After that all of them settled down & had breakfast, with that manik told them the entire story about, how he had that accident??? How nandini came to operate him?? And how he then came behind her??? How she angry she was & then last how he convinced her with the help of her dairy & albert….
Everyone was listening to it patiently, as no one knew what was coming ahead. And at the end manik said,
Manik: …… And now I m here to talk to u all… I just wanna tell u that I love ur daughter a lot & I wish to make her mine, forever…. Bu ur wishes…
Nandini turned towards him, in a shock. She wasn’t expecting him to say all this so easily n calmly, she thought it would be much more difficult. On the other hand Rishab, chacha & chachi’s happiness had no bounds. They just smiled broadly & looked towards each other. Manik knew their answers & smiled towards nandini, who gestured him to look at Amms. Manik turned towards Amms, who was just sitting with a stolid face. And then she suddenly said,
Amms: nandini take every1 with u & go inside…. I need to talk to manik alone..
Nandini: but Amms-
Amms: nandu….. go in…
Manik motioned nandini to calm down n go in. With this all of them went in leaving manik & Amms all alone. Nandini was very tensed about what Amms will say to him & was moving to n fro in the room.
Rishab: calm down di…. Amms too likes manik bhaiya a lot, I m sure she’ll agree.
Nandini: I told manik to wait 4 sometime, I wanted to ask Amms myself…. But he never listens to me.
Rishab: di… come sit, wait I’ll switch on the TV, u’ll fell better.
Rishab switched on the TV n turned to an Indian news channel in London. On the other side, as all of them got out of the room, Amms said,
Amms: so u want to marry her..??
Manik: yes Amms…
Amms: ohk…. I agree 4 it, u can hv her & marry her…
Manik heard her & smiled broadly….. He was very happy.
Amms: but!! I hv a condition??
Manik: what Amms???
Amms: I need u to promise something to me…
Manik: I can do anything u say…. All I need is nandini.
Amms: my promise is not so easy…. I want u to promise me that u will bring music back to nandini’s life…. She hasn’t even touched any instrument in these 7 yrs, I want to see her sing. I knw no matter whatever happens in her life, her happiness lies only in music & I need that back…
Manik: I promise Amms…. Soon u will see nandini happily sing n play…
Amms: I hv tired a lot…. But I failed, now I want u to do it…
Manik: I cannot alone give nandini back her music, but I knw who can do that…
Amms: who??
Manik: Fab5 together…
And that very moment nandini came in running & said hurriedly,
Nandini: Manik……. Fab5…… on TV!!
Manik got up & moved in, followed by Amms n nandini. As he got in he heard the news reporter say,
Reporter: the famous Indian Band, Fab5 is here in London…. Our reporters spotted them at the airport about an hour ago… according to our information, they all r here, not 4 any work but just for a random holiday!! Surprisingly the lead singer, Manik Malhotra is missing….. Neither is he in India & nor is he with his band members in this holiday. A few days back, people said that manik malhotra was admitted in an hospital in Australia…… but when the media reporter went to check, he wasn’t there……. So the biggest question is that “where is manik??”. Fab5 are never seen without any single member missing, but this time the history is changed, they are on a holiday without a member…. Does that mean, that there are some personal issues going on between them??? For now we don’t hv any other news, lets see what do these frndzz show us in the future…
With this manik saw a few pictures in which Fab5, navya, abhi along with kavya n sameer r seen at the airport. Manik smiled & turned towards nandini & said,
Manik: they thought, they’ll come here n surprise me…. But I guess they failed…
Manik’s happiness was clearly visible on his face. Nandini was happy to see him that way, as she knew how much manik was missing his frnds from all these days. Just then Rishab said,
Rishab: wow bhaiya, u r a lot more famous that what I expected.
Manik smiled towards him n then called cabir.
Precap: fab5, navya & abhi all together hv dinner at nandini’s place. Amms officially agrees for their marriage. They all plan the marriage ceremonies accordingly.
