Ivy's P.O.V

First day of year 11 and I was already running late, blame it on my crappy alarm clock for not being reliable. I sat with my legs crossed in front of the mirror sticking my tongue out focusing whilst trying to wing my eyeliner, or get my "eyeliner on fleek" as most would say.

Registration started at 9:00am so I was hoping to be at school by 8:30 so that I'd have time to sort out my locker and say hello to anyone I felt like talking to. In which was nobody. I had finished my makeup and now I was faced with a difficult decision, curl my hair or straighten it?

...

I crammed my lunch, journal, make up bag and reading book into my small black school bag hoping there would be some spare space for anything I'd need to put in there later. Running down the stairs the smell of toast and pancakes lingered causing a mouth watering aroma which intrigued me to stay for breakfast, but I didn't have time. my mum was busy washing the dishes whilst dad was concentrating on reading the newspaper. Trying to be sneaky, I snatched a piece of my brothers toast as I made my way to the door.

"Josh" I shouted, waiting for him to look up at me.

"Thanks for the toast" I said with a smirk on my face waving the slice around.

I soon received a smile in return which was sarcastic. My walk to school wasn't that long but it was long enough to mess my hair up if I didn't at least use one can of hairspray to keep it in place.

"Now I'm back to the hell-hole, full of fuckboys and bitches" I mumbled under my breath.

As I strolled through the smallish newly painted gate I kept my head down hoping nobody would notice me. I get panic attacks every now and then, I worry a lot, more than I should. The pressure to fit in makes me nervous I guess, but then again a lot of people know the feeling.

I headed straight for my locker being crushed by students on the way, which made me feel claustrophobic. I hated every second of being in the locker room since you barely ever had space to move. Time went by quickly, and soon the bell rang so I scurried off to registration and sat down at the table where I was accompanied by Lauren who was too busy texting to notice what was going on around her.

After our welcome back it was time for first period. I got out my timetable and went over my lessons. Biology was first up, I wasn't too bad at it to say the least.
I walked into the classroom and it was already half full, I checked the seating plan on the board and sat in my designated seat, the desks were set out so it was two people at one desk, boy and a girl.

...

15 minutes into class, strolling in without a care in the world, two boys came in and sat down in their seats, one next to me and another across the classroom. The boy who sat next to me absolutely stank of aftershave, but it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. His hair was a dirty blonde and he had dark green eyes, they were beautiful to say the least.

"And you think it's acceptable to just walk into my class 15 minutes late?" Mr Jones hissed.

"We were in the office, Sir, we're sorry for being late." The boy said across the classroom scratching the back of his neck awkwardly whilst sitting down.

"It's okay Ollie." Sir sighed.

I hadn't ever seen Ollie before, he wasn't new to the school because if he was then he would've been introduced, guess I've just never seen him around before. Ollie ran his fingers through his hair whilst turning to the boy next to me, then a few seconds after he glanced at me and gave me smile, his eyes lit up. My heart melted. You know when you see someone smile and just think of how gorgeous they are?

...

It was now time for second period, biology was actually alright to my surprise. I noticed Ollie and aftershave boy were walking ahead of me, I had my fingers crossed that he'd turn around and smile again, I'd do anything to see that smile.

Unexpectedly Aisha and her bitch brigade thought it would be entertaining to trip me up. I fell landing on both my hands, my papers and my journal went flying out my bag and all you could hear was a giant thud as soon as I hit the ground. Aisha and her friends were laughing, along with the crowd of people pointing at me.

"Why the fuck are you dipshits laughing?" Ollie glared at everyone, he soon shut them all up.

"Here let me he-" Ollie spoke softly but before he got a chance to help me I grabbed my bag leaving my papers and journal behind. I didn't want to stick around to hear the whispers of what everyone was going to say about my fall so I got away as quick as I could, tears glazing my eyes blurring my vision.
