The Talking Flower

Chapter 4

6 Years later

It was a cold October night, the music in the club was blazing loud as a man in his late teens sat at the counter. A woman, in her 30s wearing nothing but a red tube skirt, a tight blouse exposing too much above her stomach and blonde hair that in daylight was a nasty dye color, caught his stare. "A cougar for sure." the guy thought as she walked her way towards him," What brings you here little boy?" The guy gave his signature cocky smile," Just looking for a lucky lady to dance with tonight." The woman gave a smirk," You came to the right place than Little boy. Follow me." As the lady headed towards upstairs, The guy followed searching for his sister. "John...what are you doing?!" his sister yelled in his head. "If all girls had mind-reading powers like you the human population would be run by a bunch of nagging nancy." "I heard that!" "I know," John said as he looked across the room to catch his sister staring right at him. He gave a wink towards Lily just to annoy her before he continued to follow the lady once more. Lily shook her head before stalking behind her brother and the key to their target. "This isn't safe. Besides the convenience store down the street or a spell to capture him in his own 5 billion-dollar apartment, John wanted the two to catch him in public!" If Lily would've known this she would have killed the guy sooner. 

John looked around to see girls on poles and the room giving a dim green color from the poles colors. When the blonde hair lady stopped walking, John looked past her to see a big sumo-like man sitting on a lounge couch, 6 ladies reeking of perfume and a haunted troubled past life. The man looked John up and down before he looked at the lady," Gabby, what's with the little boy?" Gabby just smirked before smiling," I thought you should see my next meal. Pleasing right?" John's arm was squeezed tight by Gabby," Shit! A vampire!" John thought. Out of all the days, he decided not to bring his wooden stake, this was the worst by far. Gabby opened her mouth wider, her fangs being shown underneath the green light. The sumo man raised his hand," GABBY! Where are your manners? Why don't you share with your fellow sisters?" The other 6 ladies showed their fangs as well in a demon-like smile. Gabby whined before nodding," Fine! But his neck is all miii-" After the loud bang, John looked at Gabby. Gabby had a wooden bullet through her heart. John smirked at Gabby as she looked up at him in shock and pain. He shook Gabby off as she slowly became a mummy-like corpse. "Catch!" Said Lily, as she threw him her wooden stake. John caught the stake with grace as he looked back at the fellow vampire ladies," So anyone else wants a piece of me? Don't worry, I don't bite." the vampires hissed as they ran towards John and Lily. Lily shot two of the vampires who we're heading towards John's way from behind him. One of the vampires, however, grabbed Lily's arm from behind," I guess this is the end for you, petals." Lily tried to headbutt the vampire, making the vampire piss as she  threw Lily against the wall," I guess I'm going to have to break you a couple of times." John stabbed one of the three vampires who were on him," I hate to say this but I don't prefer threesome." John grabbed another vampire, and stabbed her in the head with his stake before using her body to whack the other vampire, "I'm more of an intimate lover" Stop playing and Help!" Lily mentally said. John rolled his eyes as he grabbed his stake from the vampire's head from earlier and knocked the last vampire with it upside the head. The vampire fell unconscious. John rushed over to where Lily was getting beaten by the last vampire," Food's almost done!" John grabbed Lily's gun that was on the ground and pointed the gun at the vampire's head," Let's play a game. It's call easy or hard. Easy. You let her go and leave. Hard you kill her. I'll make your life a real pain for all eternity. Easy or Hard? The vampire glared at John," Both!" The vampire then used her speed to grab John from behind," Guess you're all bark and no-" The vampire screeched in pain as she released her grip on John. John rushed over to Lily, who was struggling to get up as he noticed a flower behind the vampire who fell. "You two are just pitiful." the flower said. The sumo guy, who was sitting on the couch during the whole showdown, jumped back at the flower's sudden appearance," You! I'm going to pay you back I swear! Just buy me time..." The vampire chick who was knocked out by John rushed over towards the flower. The flower didn't even twitch for he moved his sepals in slow movements. The last vampire girl stopped moving and swayed left and right like a puppet before she ripped her own heart out."Now. John and Lily, go back to the forest. If I knew it would take you two this long I would've killed him myself."

The two rushed out of the building as the fire alarm suddenly went off. People inside the club were rushing out in panic. Lily and John ran out the back of the building, the two trying to blend into the crowd. When Lily lost John in the crowd, She tried to contact him with her mind, but just as she was about to send a message, a rag covered her mouth. As she tried to fight the stranger who was trying to make her pass out, she got even more sleepy and weak more than usual because of her earlier fight with the vampire. Lily felt unconscious in the stranger's arm. John, searching for Lily, assumed she was already back at the forest and cast the spell back home.

When Lily opened her eyes, she was lying on a comfy bed. Lily looked around her surroundings and realized that she was in a cozy cabin. The stranger looked at her, his appearance startling her. With his sandy brown hair and dark brown eyes and a natural tan skin the guy was sitting on a rocking chair in front of the fire, with a picture frame in his hands. " Did you know I had two younger sisters and a mother and father and I was supposed to be the next heir in line for my country? Sadly I never got the chance because of a certain flower. After all, he makes a lot of deals and one, in particular, was with someone who hated my family very very much" Lily realized exactly who she was talking to. This was the same boy she saved when the castle was on fire, "So do you think my death will make the flower come here soon? Because if you think so, you're mistaken. I am only a servant of the flower, not his child. So go ahead and kill me off." The boy walked towards her and sat on the end of the bed looking down at the ground," You saved me. I know you're the one who saved me. You're the only one with those eyes. Ice Queen." "Thanks, Anastasia, but really I have better things to do than for you to obsess over my eyes. So is my death a surprise or direct...like hurry up." "I am Alex. And I'm not going to kill you." "Well, when I get better I'm going to make you regret coming back for me." Alex looked at Lily, studying her for a few minutes," You're mother was right...you are a bit feisty." Lily's muscles tighten. "How does he know about my mom?! She's dead." Alex noticed Lily's expression," What? You don't believe me? Fine." Alex then pulled out his phone and dialed a number. Lily looked at the phone," You're bluffing. For that I'm going to-" Alex put the phone on speaker as a female voice sounding much older gave life through the phone," Alex! Did you find her?!" Lily knew her own mother's voice even if she was given amnesia and placed on Mars," MOM?!" "Lily! My little girl! Alex, quick get her back to the Main quarters. Now." Alex smiled and rolled his eyes," Yes Chief." Isabelle was hesitant before saying," Alex, thank you so much. I'll take all fault if you get caught." "It's fine. We'll be at Main in say tomorrow afternoon tops if we leave now." "Good. I'll see you two then." The phone then died once more, the sweet sound of Isabelle's voice gone. Lily looked at Alex," Why are you helping me?" Alex smirked," I could ask you the same thing back at the castle. Why did you save me when your job was to set fire and leave. I was stuck in my room, it was easy for me to die along with my family. So why?" Lily glared at him," I want to see my mom, not answer your purpose in life question. So take me to quarters, Anastasia." Alex chuckled, "This is the start of a beautiful friendship."
