Teagan's POV:
Pain. Nothing but pain overwhelms me as I crumple into shawns arms. He holds me tight but tries getting me to walk. I refuse. I can't go on. It hurts too much. This is too much.
He picks me up and carries me to the police car and eases me down into the backseat. He climbs in with me and pulls me onto his lap whispering soothing words into my ear.
"It's ok. It's ok." I hear his words but I can't believe that. It's not ok. It won't be ok.
We pull up to the airport an hour later.
"This is actually happening..." Shawn pulls me into him as we walk on the plane. As soon as I sit in the seat, I pass out. Shawn kisses my forehead and tells me he loves me before sleep drifts over me.

I'm woken up by Shawn nearly dropping me.
"IM SO SORRY I DIDNT MEAN TO WAKE YOU! I MEAN I DIDNT MEAN TO DROP YOU-- OH MY GOD ARE YOU OK?!" I chuckle at his words. I actually chuckle. A huge smile forms on his lips and it's the most perfect site.
"I love you." He says.
"I love you more." I reply.
He gently helps me stabilize myself and wraps a loving arm around my waist. We exit the airport and enter one of Shawn's many limousines.
The driver takes us to the hospital where we wait for the worst.
Shawn and I enter the room to see my mother's fragile and pale body laying on the hospital bed. Before I even feel the tears start to stream, Shawn wipes them away in a swift motion with his thumbs. He places a gentle kiss on my forehead and lets me approach my mom's side.
I place a hand on hers and she doesn't even flinch. Her monitor shows she is stable but she looks like she's letting go.
"Mom you can't give up now. You've gotten so far. Please... please don't leave me."
Her monitor beeps a couple times before it flat lines.
Shawn screams for help and the doctors come rushing in, but it's too late.
Mom is gone.
