"Hey, Tobs, come here!" Cheney yelled and waved her arms at the tan midfielder, who was on the other side of the field, juggling a soccer ball.
"But I'm almost at 600!" Tobin yelled back, tapping the ball back and forth on her feet.
"Come here now!" Lauren hollered, and Tobin reluctantly popped the ball into the air, caught it, and walked over.
"This is Alex. You're gonna show her around." Cheney said, patting Alex's back and walking towards the locker room. The young forward smiled.
"Alex Morgan, ah, I've heard a lot about you." Tobin grinned and shook the girl's hand. "Welcome to camp! My name's Tobin Heath. Call me anything but Toby."
Alex smiled and looked around at the pitch. "Will do. I'm so glad I'm finally here."
"Well, I'm happy to get to play with you. You did great at Cal." Tobin said.
"Thanks, but you're the great one! Your footwork is crazy!" Alex laughed.
"Alright, you guys can argue about who thinks who is better later. I'm Kelley. They call me Kell, Kels, KO, and Squirrel." Kelley O'Hara walked up to them.
Alex smiled back. "Hi, nice to meet you... Why do they call you squirrel?"
"I mean, look at me." Kelley laughed. "Anyways, you guys wanna go grab some lunch?"
Tobin shook her head. "Nah, Alex should meet the rest of the team first. And we can teach her how to play some good ol' Monopoly Deal."
Kelley grinned. "Good idea. Follow us!" She and Tobin led Alex into the locker room and everyone waved.
"Alright, everyone, this is the great Alex Morgan. Alex Morgan, this is everyone." Tobin gestured towards the team.
"Are you gonna tell her our names?" Hope Solo asked.
"Fine, but I'm sure she knows about all of you guys. Alex, this is Barney, Jill, Hope, Buehler, Steph, HAO, Kriegs, Amy, Mittsy, Pearcie, Broon, Boxxy, Lori, Kelley, Pinoe, Carli, Lindsay, A-Rod, Cheney, and Abby. And me." Tobin beamed.
"It's great to finally meet you all!" Alex grinned.
"Okay, well training's about to start, so let's get right into it!" Christie Rampone smiled.
