Celina's POV
Some people tell me I'm lucky and brave because I was able to make my café one of the most successful one's in the area all on my own, I say it was hard work and resilience.
My parents died in a car accident when I was young, being an only child I had to stay with my aunt that I loved very much, she died a couple of years ago, she was a loving old lady that always made an effort to help me in any way possible, she is the reason I was able to open my café.
Silly me, I forgot to introduce myself!
My name is Celina Brown, I'm 26 years old and I own and work in a café, as you might already know.
I worked really hard to be where I am right now, at first I thought about giving up everything, it was really difficult in the beginning.
Luckily my friend, and co-worker, Liz, always pushed me to keep going and I am very much grateful for that.
But do you know that feeling you get where even when everything is going alright you just don't feel happy or don't feel completed? Yeah that's exactly how I feel.
Liz is my only friend, she always tries to make me happy, or to make me go out with her and enjoy life a little bit, but I just can't. My shyness, and mostly my looks, make it impossible for me to go, and party, and socialise.
You know, not being your average skinny girl makes it difficult to be confident and ready to make new friends, and although I do exercise, despite what others say, it's difficult for me to loose weight.
Well, life is life and you have to deal with it.
Right now we are in lunch hour where most people come to lunch, obviously, and it gets really busy sometimes, like today.
I am taking orders from here and there, it is getting a little chaotic.
I like it this way, although I cook a lot and sometimes it gets very tiring, it means that people like to come here and like to eat what I cook.
"Celina are the orders for table number two ready?" I hear my friend call from the door.
"Yes Liz, they are right here." I picked the plates and gave them to her "Is everything okay out there? Do you need any help?"
"No, everything is taken care of. All the tables are occupied and are just waiting for their food so go work woman!" I laughed as she got out of the kitchen and I got back to my cooking.
When everyone was gone and back to their work places Liz and I started cleaning and putting everything in order.
"Do you know about the new gym that's going to open right in front of us?" Liz asked, looking at a paper she had in her hand.
"No, last time I checked it was a mini market."
"Yeah but it seems like it won't be anymore. I heard they couldn't afford to pay for that place so they closed."
"Oh I didn't know, but a gym seems nice, maybe we will get more people to come here." It's always good to have more costumers.
"Yes. Aaaand we could, you know, start to go to the gym together! And it's right in front of us and close to our home, so that's like a win win!"
"You're too excited about this! Calm your down girl! But yeah I think it's a good idea." And the next thing I know I am being hugged by a koala bear with 26 years old.
