Chapter 1

Lauren's pov

We were at home watching tv when my best friend Angela texted me and told me that she was coming from Sacramento to see us. She told me that she wanted to have a picnic tomorrow at 12 in the middle of some hidden woods. Weird.

Mom, Angela's coming from Sacramento to see us and she wants me and my sisters to have a picnic tomorrow at 12 in some woods. Can we go? I begged.

Ok, but only if Christina is in charge. Mom said.

Yes! Christina said.

Fine. I answered.

Are you excited Lauren? Lisa asked.

Very. I told her.

Me too! Dani said.

Well, let's go to sleep cause it's late. Katherine said. We went upstairs and we all got ready to go to bed.

I can't wait to see Angela tomorrow!

Next day

Lauren, wake up! Dani shouted in my ear.

I'm already up! I said sitting on my bed.

What time is it? I asked.

It's 10 o'clock. Dani said.

Oh ok. I said.

Mom told us to eat something before we go with Angela. Dani said.

Ok, I'm gonna eat an apple. I said and I got up. I went downstairs and I grabbed my apple.

Hey Lauren, I see you're finally awake. Amy said.

How long have you guys been awake? I asked her.

Since 8:30 sleepy head. Amy said giggling.

Ok. I said and I ate my apple.

Hey Lauren, you have to get ready so we can leave at 11. Christina said and she was already dressed.

I finished eating and I went upstairs to take a shower but Dani was in one bathroom and Lisa in the other one. Katherine, Christina and Amy were ready and they were downstairs waiting for us.

I chose my clothes and when I was done I saw the bathroom was empty and Dani was ready. I got in and I took a shower. I got dressed, brushed my teeth, brushed my hair and I went downstairs.

Finally, you're ready! Lisa said.

Seriously Lisa? You always take longer. I said.

Stop fighting and let's go. Christina said. We went outside and we got in the van.

45 minutes later

Ok, we're almost there. Christina said. "It's very far and I had never heard of those woods but I think we're very near them."

Christina parked the car and I texted Angela.
