Chapter one : Green eyes

I was looking down below the orphanage window. It was so bright outside that it made my sea blue eyes cringe. I could see many children holding their parents in their arms. The parents were so happy that they had a smile that spread from ear to ear. When I was 6 years old, my mom lost the battle to leukemia. My dad left after he became depressed. Now I live in the Bellman's Orphanage for Children.

"Emma, come downstairs! Today is the day, it's Adoption day!" , said Natalie.

"I'll never be adopted. Natalie, I'm always going to be alone." , I let out a loud sigh.

"Just come downstairs, you'll never know unless you try." , Natalie replied.

"okay." , I mumbled.

Natalie was one of the owners of the orphanage, she spends almost 17 hours caring for us, feeding us, cleaning our clothes, playing with us, and making sure we go to loving homes. She is as much as a real mom to me. I grabbed my baby blue ruffled top with my white shorts. I also grab my flip flops and slip them onto  my tiny feet. I ran down the hall way, almost knocking over the children pictures. As I stood on the last step, I notice my best friend Amanda was hugging two adults, a girl and boy. She looked like she had 20 Christmas's rolled into one.

"Hi Emma! I just found  a new family!" , Amanda said, almost screaming.

"Omg! Congrats! I'm going to miss you so much!" , I say beginning to tear up.

We stood there looking into each others eyes, tears began running down our rosey cheeks. We ran into each others arms. Her light blonde hair felt soft like velvet against my face. I could feel her cold tears dripping onto my neck.

"I promise, I'll make sure to hang out with you. I 'm going to miss you so much. You are like a sister to me." , Amanda said.

Before I could say another word..

"Amanda, It's time for you to go to your new home. Say your goodbye's." , said Natalie.

"Good bye." , Amanda said saldy.

"Bye." , I said almost about to bawl my watering eyes.

We ran into each others arms once more. She began walking out the door.

"Emma, I know you're going to miss your friend. You'll get to see her again. You have more things to be happy about, many people are here today to adopt today. It may be you." , Natalie said calmly.

I sat upon the staircase, tears started racing down my cheeks. I couldn't believe that my best friend got adopted and she's officially gone, and I'm never going to get adopted. I'm not trying to sound like a snob or anything but, I do find myself really pretty. I got my mom's good looks. Why wouldn't anyone want me?

All of a sudden, a bunch of girls started screaming and talking loudly. I looked up, a sparkly green eyed woman, with beautiful combed blonde hair appeared at the door. She has a a bedazzled, blue and purple, chevron printed skirt with a black, long  sleeved t-shirt. Next to her was a handsome man. His tousled dark brown hair was perfection, and his chocolatey brown eyes made your heart melt. He was wearing a blue flannel that fit around his abs just fine. (lol ) I had just realized.. It was Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth. I almost jumped up from the stairs, my smile grew large and my eyes were as wide as a plane.
I was about to tear up once again. I couldn't believe my two idols were here.

Meghan and Charlie begin walking toward Natalie. All of the other orphanage children were in aw of them being here. Jenny even tried pulling on Meghan's skirt saying, "Please, please, please adopt me."

"Hi NatalIie, I'm Meghan and this is Charlie." , Meghan said holding hands with Charlie.

"Pssshh, I know who you two are." , Natalie began acting like a fan girl.

"This must be Emma." , Meghan said looking at me.

Her bright greenish eyes stared into my blue eyes. We had  connection. I still coudln't believe that Meghan Trainor was looking right at me.

"Yes I am." , I said smiling.
