-Nina-------------------------------
I rounded a corner just as I saw the strange man with blonde hair approach the bed I was laying on. I couldn't help a scream that came to the surface as I jumped down and off the bed and ran for an escape. I didn't know where I was even running to, I just knew I had to get away from the blonde haired stranger.I rounded another corner only to have my body crash into something hard like stone. At first I mistook it for a wall. A man. I almost fell but a pair of cold hands caught me in their grasp. I shrieked and thrashed about in the hopes that the man would let go of me. This only seemed to frustrate him further as he put one of his hands over my mouth to keep me from screaming. "You're alright I promise you, we both mean you no harm. Isn't that right Lest-" the brunette made the mistake of lessening his grip on me. I shot my fist straight into his nose, he let go of me as he tried to catch his breath and recover from the blow. I ran to another room, this one had a door. I tripped as I ran from the two men, though I had lost sight of the blonde one. I rounded another corner only to be met with yet another man- the blonde. Guess he found me. He grabbed me and held me close and tightly. He whispered something in my ear about being 'glad to see me awake'. He smirked at me. I couldn't take it, I elbowed him in the stomach and he lost his grip on my sides. I saw a door across the hall and ran for it, I was surprised to find that the door had a very elaborate pad lock on it. I hit it hard out of frustration. As I turned I could see the two men staring at me. The one I had hit in the nose looked to be fine, he was staring at me with what had to be an apologetic look, the blonde looked amused. The blonde smiled and dangled a set of keys in my direction as he leaned in the doorway. "Looking for something, are we?" Said the blonde.
I took them both in. The brunette was tall, lean and pretty muscular I'd say. He also made the mistake of letting me get a clear shot. A mistake he probably wouldn't make twice. The blonde. He was also fairly tall almost as tall as the brunette and was built like the brunette, he had striking blue eyes and looked very nonchalant standing in the doorway but he also looked like he knew what my next move would be, like he was anticipating it. The cocky bastard. He might just have a very good poker face, I guessed.
"As I tried to tell you before, we mean you no harm-" the brunette could lie all he wanted. I was not going down with out a fight. I ran and reached a fireplace. I took the fire-poker and grasped it firmly between my hands. It was still hot, I knew if they were smart they wouldn't dare attempt to touch me while I had this to fend them off with. They had ran after me I figured they would. "Give me those keys." I ordered the blonde while waving the hot poker in their direction. The blonde circled me slowly. I was most wary of him, the brunette didn't seem as dangerous.
"Ah.. So she speaks.. That was some stunt you pulled back there. You have a name?" He asked me this but it sounded like more of a command. " I don't make it a point in my life to go about telling strange men my name..." I told the blonde. He stared me down and then laughed. The brunette to his right looked startled by it as much as I was. "Alright if you want to be difficult about it..." The brunette said to me, I blinked and he was gone. Then I felt hands around my waist and throat. Then the blonde moved in, he took the fire poker from my grasp and held it between two fingers and broke it in half. Sending the remains to the floor. I was shocked, it all happened so fast. I didn't even have time to react. The grip on my waist and throat were secure but didn't hurt in the slightest, as if the brunette was trying his damnedest not to hurt me. For a second I believed it before the blonde once again spoke.
"Like Louie tried to point out to you. We mean you no ill will. Louie was actually the one who brought you here, to save you when you were dying."
" I was dying? Why was I dying? What happened to me, I feel fine." I nearly yelled at him. "All will be revealed to you in time, if only you'll let us explain things to you?" It was then that I felt the grip on me loosen, then fade altogether. I stood there and felt my throat. Something wasn't right, there were stitches and a few holes in the side of my neck. I looked at the both of then and backed into the wall. The blonde followed me until he was almost kissing distance away from me. His arms were to the sides of me, on my waist, preventing me from going anywhere. I was stuck there, incredibly close to him. He could kill me if he wanted to, or he was close enough to inflict some serious damage. My breathing hitched as I held my throat and looked him in the eyes. I would show no fear to them. He saw that and smirked again and lent his head down to my ear. "Don't worry I wouldn't dream of it." He said, winked, and dropped one of his arms as he made his way back to who he called Louie. Looking in my eyes all the while.
"Please trust us. I brought you here to save you, why would either of us try to harm you now? If I wanted to hurt you I would've done so when you were unable to fight back." It did make sense what he had said. He smiled softly at me as he extended a hand to me cautiously. I shook my head but followed after the two of them anyways. I did want answers but not at the cost of my life. I still didn't trust these two, there was something off about them. I just couldn't place it.
"Where should I begin?" Louie asked me. I thought for a moment before I answered. "Why was I in an alleyway? And why was I almost dead?" He looked to be contemplating some bad news. Like there was a death in the family and you had to go about telling all of the relatives calmly that their loved one was gone. Finally Louie spoke. "Do you know how you ended up in that carriage?" I thought. "I do." I replied. At my response the blonde tensed.
"Well the driver of that carriage tried to kill you. He took you to that alleyway and stripped you and tried to rape you. But before he tried to do any of that I saved you." I didn't know what to think, the mark on my neck was quite deep, and concerned me." Did he-"
"No I made sure if it. He can no longer hurt you or anyone else again, this I promise." I was relieved. But I also had a sick feeling that the driver of the carriage was dead, it didn't bother me as much as it should have I guess.
"So I found you almost dead from blood loss but I brought you here and Lestat cleaned you up and stitched that." He said as he pointed to my neck.
"What exactly happened to my neck?" I asked hesitantly. Louie looked over to Lestat and they exchanged glances.
Lestat spoke first before Louie could say anything back to me. "As I said before all will be revealed in time, how you received that little mark is of no concern at the moment."
"Alright then. What is of great concern for the moment?" I replied. He looked to be irritated but also deep in thought- contemplative.
"What to do with you now. It's too dark to allow you to leave here tonight. Why don't you stay with Lestat and I until you are well rested and you've healed?" He looked at me pleadingly. "Alright. And thank you for saving me." In the back of my mind I muttered "As if I have a choice." I looked to the both of them and to then padlock on the door. Lestat looked much happier than he did a second ago and this unsettled me a bit but I guessed it was better than him being irritated. Louie looked relieved.
"My name is Nina. Nina Levesque." I said as I followed Louie into the next room, Lestat walked closely behind me with a smirk as we continued on after Louie. I felt shivers run down my spine. I heard Lestat chuckle behind me.
