Ava's PoV
I got back to the hotel room to see that Ciara still wasn't home. I soon got a text from her saying she wouldn't be back for an hour or two. I sat on my bed watching TV when I decided to text Nick so he had my number too.
Ava: hey...its ava when do you wanna do something?
Nick: hey...can I come to your hotel ?
Ava: um yeah it's the crystal hotel down the street from the mall we were at.... Room 34
He didn't respond but I shortly heard a knock on the door. I saw Nick with bloodshot eyes and his cheeks were wet."were you crying?" I said as he walked in and I closed the door."yeah."he said wiping tears as we sat on my bed." Why....what happened?" I said looking at him as he looked at the floor."Leanne......broke up with me" he said finally looking up."why" I said confused.....Nick was great and cute why would she break up with him?."she thought I was cheating on her....with you" he said with soft eyes."omg I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for any of this to happen Nick"I said as he walked to the door and I followed."uh it's okay....she was a slut anyway" he mumbled and I gave him a weak smile."I'm really sorry " I said with sympathy ."it's not your fault" he said as he opened the door."do you wanna go to the beach tomorrow ?...... To get my mind off things" he said smiling."uh yeah" I said smiling."I'll come and pick you up tomorrow at 2pm okay?" He said looking straight at me."yeah....bye" I said as we hugged and he left.
The next day I got dressed into a black bikini and put high waisted shorts and a white crop top on and done my hair. It was 2pm and I heard a knock on the door."come in....I just have to put shoes on" I said as Nick walked in."Nick?" Ciara said with a smile as she came out of the bathroom."that's me, hey Ciara " Nick smiled as he hugged Ciara ."Jesus I hated that you left" she said plopping on her bed."why ? did you miss me?" He said ." A little...,but ava never shut up about you" she said looking at me with a smirk."fuck off Ciara ....no I didn't " I said blushing as Nick fiddled with his fingers ."I'm ready" I said getting up."okay let's go" Nick said as we walked to the door."oh wait....ava I'm going to be staying in my bosses design workshop tonight" she said ."okay" I said as me and Nick waved.
We arrived at the beach and there wasn't many people there . We sat on the sand and just stared at the ocean."so......you talk about me a lot?" Nick said smirking."uh, no I stopped talking about you when you stopped talking to me" I said blankly."oh....uh wanna get into the water ?" Nick said taking his t-shirt off."yeah" I took of my clothes leaving me in my bikini. We both walked to the water and Nick got in."aren't you coming in"Nick said as waves splashed up against him."I don't know....it looks cold" I said looking at my feet."come on.....don't make me drag you in" he said coming up to me." I'd like to see you try" I said with and evil smirk. He laughed and picked me up bridal style before dropping me into the water. We swam around for a while and then dried off."are you hungry?" Nick asked."yeah, I'm starving" I moaned and Nick laughed."wanna get chipotle?" Nick asked standing up."yeah, sounds good" I said while we got dressed and walked to his car."the sun was setting and it looked beautiful. We ate chipotle and we headed back to my hotel."do you wanna stay for a while?" I asked Nick as we walked to my room."if you don't mind" he said as I opened the door and we sat on my bed."wanna watch a movie" I asked standing up."okay sure" he said looking at his phone.
We watched the movie and by the time it was finished it was 10pm."I think I'm gonna go" Nick said getting up." It's pretty late..... Why don't you sleep in my bed and I'll sleep in ciara's bed?" I asked getting up."yeah sure" he said sitting back down. I got into my pjs and Nick just wore his boxers. And we got into our separate beds."goodnight" Nick said ."goodnight Nick" I said as we both fell asleep. I was awoken by thunder and lightning at 3am and I was scared because I hate thunder and lightning. It got so loud so I went over to nicks bedside ,"Nick?" I said tapping his shoulder."yeah?" He said quietly ." can I get in.....I'm creeped out by the thunder and lightning." I said as Nick nodded. I got in beside him and he wrapped his arms around my waist...... Which was weird because he never used to do that."ava?" Nick said startling me."yeah" I said."is this weird?" He asked."what?" I asked."we're sleeping in the same bed" he said."we used to always share a bed." I said laughing."yeah but now we're older" he said rubbing my thigh with his hands."what are you saying?" I asked."I love you ava "He said."oh" I said pulling away.." I was fucking kidding" he said laughing."you better be" I laughed laying back down. But in the inside I was devastated that he didn't actually love me..... Or did he?
Nick soon fell asleep but I was still thinking.i really liked Nick, but would it be weird if he knew? or if I told him would it ruin our friendship?..... I barely got sleep because I was just thinking about me and Nick. Just then I saw nicks phone flash so I picked it up.
