The morning sun shined though Mt window and all I knew was that I woukdnt dare to move, not even a finger. I was comfortable, I felt safe, I was in her arms and that the best place to be. I could hear her heart beating and I don't know how but I just wanted to keep listening to it. A heart beat, out of all things a heart best brought music to my ears. Her slow breathing was the one of the things that made me feel safe. Her arms around me made me feel comfortable, and my arm around her waist kept me from moving. I didn't even dare to care how late it was getting, I just wanted to lay there for pretty much ever.
A slight sound came from the hall, it got closer and closer and that's when it hit me. My door knop slowly turned and I had no chance to think of what to do. I leaned up quickly pushing Alex out of the bed to the oppite side to where the door was. My door slowly opened and that's when I finiallt heard her rush under my bed. My dad slowly entered, my mom following behind her as she looked around the room.
"Hey sweetheart, someone slept well am I right.?" My dad joked with a slight grin on his face.
"Yeah, sorry. I guess I let time slip by. Sorry. "
I took a glance at my mom, as I notice her still looking around my room. Once my dad took his eyes off me, I slowly motioned her, mouthing the words 'she's under my bed'. She noticed and I could tell a small bit of her was trying so hard not to laugh. She began to speak, "well honey we just came to tell you, this weekend is when your father and I take a small trip up state," she gives my dad a funny look than continues to speak, "and we thought you're old enough to be left home alone. " Right off the bay I could tell this was all my mom idea. "So we'll be leaving in two hours, we trust you'll be very responsible, right?"
"Yes ma'am." I couldn't help but smile, a whole weekend to myself, three days not having to work about my dad getting all up tight.
"We do have so ground rules thought," typical dad, "no ones allowed over unless you let us know in advance," he paused, "especially if its Alex, rather not have her here with you alone. Personal reasons. " As soon as he said that a loud bump came from under my bed, my parents were confused in a way but so was I. My dad tried to look u der the bed but my mom stopped him. "Well sweety, we're gonna go finish our packing, breakfast is down stairs for you." She grabbed my dads arm gentallt and they slowly walked out, my dad still confused about the noise.
As soon as my door shut, I hanged off the edge of my bed, looking down under my bed. Alex was laying on her stomach and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Hey stranger." I joked, giving her a smile.
"Hello weird alarm clock." She started sliding out, finally getting up as she dusted herself off.
"Weird alarm clock?"
"Yeah, I don't think I'd ever been woken up with a push to the floor and myself having half a heart attack as a hide under my girlfriends bed. " I laughed and she could help but do the same. "Its not funny. "
"Come on it was a little funny. Even my mom couldn't help but laugh."
She smiled, then once again quickly covering it. I grabbed her hand stopping her. "Don't do that." She kept her smile I her face as she slowly leaned in pecking my lips.
