To the four people that are reading this, thank you so much! This chapter is kinda boring also (sorry) but it gets better, I promise. But I hope you like this one anyways :P

"Hello! My name's Gail, and I'll be your waitress for today. What would you like to order?" I took my pad and pen out from my apron and got ready to write.

"I'll have a beer and a large pepperoni pizza."

"Okay, It'll be up shortly." I smiled and wrote down his order, taking the menu and the request to the kitchen window. On my way, a man with bright blonde hair sitting at a table called me over. He looked really familiar.

"Can I help you?" I smiled and asked as I shifted my things into my other hand and took the empty plate off the table.

"I'd like another personal pizza." He looked up at me.

"Okay, coming right up!" I replied.

I hurried over to the kitchen where I would put the orders, and I headed into the lounge.

"Gail, I'm tired." Haley elongated the words as she stretched her arms out to me. She was a really lazy waitress.

"Haley, stop complaining. I need your help out there. I've been working for five hours straight. I need a break." I placed my hands on my hips and shook my head.

"Okay fine." Haley got out of the beanbag chair and tossed her phone into her bag. She put her apron back on and rushed out to the uproarious restaurant, while I flopped onto the couch and took my phone out.

I eagerly scrolled through my emails, hoping one would be from Aubrey. Nope. No email today. I was beginning to lose hope on the job. It had already been a week since the interview and I had still not gotten a response, even though the offer had said that they needed a worker very urgently. I guess they had found someone better. But how do you find out if someone is good for the job if the only question you ask them is about you name? She didn't even let me finish my sentence about working with kids either.

If I didn't get accepted, it won't be my fault. It will be Aubrey's for interviewing me so hastily.

But on the other hand, I told myself that I really needed this extra money. Working at Charlie's Diner was barely enough to keep me going, I was craving some extra money to treat myself. With the new part-time job at the orphanage, I could maybe go shopping more often.

"Gail, what are you doing in here? Customers need you, get out there!" Carina, my boss, jolted me out of my thoughts.

"Okay, Cari, I'm going. I just needed to check something important." I explained, as I tied my apron back on and made sure my pad and pen were inside the pockets.

"I don't care, you could have checked it later. Now get out there." She pointed her finger and the door and stared me down until I had left the room.

Gosh, Cari, you don't have to yell at me.

The bustle of the restaurant filled my ears and I instantly smiled. Although this job was exhausting sometimes, I loved it and would never give it up for my entire life.

I delivered a burger, a pizza, and a sandwich the the respective customers, and looked around to see if there were any that were ready to order. In the far corner of the place sat a woman with dark black hair and a man with blonde, almost white hair, with their backs to me. I smiled and hurried over to their empty table.

"Hello! Welcome to Charlie's! What would you like to order?"

The woman with black hair turned, and my smile faded as I realized who it was.
