True love and betrayal. Revenge and more revenge. A heroine with an impossible goal. If only Mozart had lived on the Upper East Side. But you can keep your magic flute, Amadeus. All this queen wants is a golden ticket to Yale.
"Yale day. How's Blair holding up?". Spencer enquired as he joined his sister at the kitchen table before she left for school. "I imagine she's calm, she's basically a shoe-in." Ophelia shrugged her shoulders as she flicked through the mail that had just been brought in. "Anything from FIT yet?". The Huntington boy wondered as he watched the girl place the letters back down. "Nothing. I'm trying not to overthink it." "Just try to focus on your recovery for now... and your skyline... and your fashion line. Remind me when you turn 18 again?".
Spencer's teasing words made Ophelia laugh loudly. "Not soon enough." The heiress admitted before grabbing her bag and leaving for school, hoping to catch up with her cousin before they entered Constance to see whether or not she'd heard anything from Yale. "Refresh, refresh, refresh. That's not my Eli account." Blair ordered Nelly Yuki as the heiress joined them walking towards the doors of Constance. "No, it's mine. I applied to Yale too, remember?". Nelly reminded the Waldorf girl as Blair greeted her cousin with a small smile. "Yes, but your application was merely a formality to appease your overbearing parents. You know there's no way Yale is going to accept someone who got a 2360 on her SAT. So, give up and go for the gold. My gold. Refresh."
"Well, aren't you a ray of sunshine this morning." Ophelia laughed as she walked alongside her cousin away from the minions. "I am not losing Yale let alone to someone as incompetent as Nelly Yuki." Blair spoke under her breath, ensuring the girls behind them didn't hear. "Your father is basically Yale royalty, you're a legacy, trust me B there's nothing to worry about." Looking up at hearing her name being called down the halls the heiress felt a smile creep onto her face as she locked eyes with Nate Archibald. "Gotta go."
Falling into step beside the van der Bilt heir Ophelia greeted him politely before school began. "Hey, are you going to the opera thing tonight?". Nate questioned curiously. "Yeah, Spencer insisted on it. What about you, think you're in for a night of foreign music?". "I think I am. I haven't been able to go anywhere nice since my father was arrested and the whole no money thing." Upon the confirmation Ophelia's smile couldn't help but grow, grateful to see the boy finally returning to his normal life. "Well, that certainly complicated things." The heiress teased playfully. "I was wondering, would you want to maybe hang out in my family's box with me?".
The offer had Ophelia's cheeks turning pink as she nodded bashfully. "That would be nice. Maybe Spencer can finally find a date then too." The comment made both teens laugh before the heiress locked eyes with her cousin in the courtyard. "I should get back to Blair. Yale day and all." "No, of course. I'll pick you up tonight 7pm?". Nate suggested eagerly. "That sounds perfect." Waving a small goodbye Ophelia rejoined Blair, Serena and their minions in the Constance courtyard.
