Hey.

-alpha.dude

Hey Josie!

-star_wars_rox

How is our favourite fifteen year old?

-one.third.of.us

Fine, I guess. I'm moving.

-alpha.dude

Where too?

-one.third.of.us

Some small town in California. I don't know the name of it though--I wasn't paying enough attention. Where do you two live again?

-star_wars_rox

Beacon Hills, California. A small town in California where the population is slowly decreasing by the moment.

-alpha.dude

Stiles!

-star_wars_rox

Sorry.

-one.third.of.us

I think that's where I'm moving too. And what do you mean by 'where the population is slowly decreasing'?! :o

-star_wars_rox

I blame Scott.

-alpha.dude

Again. . . STILES!

-star_wars_rox

Sorry.

-one.third.of.us

As much as I would love to watch you two sandbox buddies bicker, I have to go. My mom says I need to finish packing. Talk later?

-star_wars_rox

Yeah buddy! Have fun. :*

-one.third.of.us

Shut up. >:(

-alpha.dude

Bye Josie!

-one.third.of.us

Bye guys.

Josie sighed, closing her laptop. Her family was moving. After spending her whole life in Canada, her dad's job was forcing her Native American family to move all the way to California. Still annoyed with her parents, she plugged in her laptop, making sure it would be fully charged for the car trip. Then, she lay back on her sleeping bag; her mattress was already at the new house. So was the rest of the furniture. Her house was totally, completely bare, and it made her sad. It just seemed to remind her that she was leaving her hometown.

'JOSIE, JOSIE, JOSIE, JOSIE!'

The girl jumped in surprise, sitting up.

'Jared?'

Her twin brother burst into the room, panting.

'We have amazing news!' They said in unison. Out of the three, Josie was the most spastic, hyper, and dramatic, Jared was the loudest and most cocky, and Jesse was the most calm and responsible.

Jesse said, 'Dad told me we get our own rooms in the new house!'

Josie's eyes lit up. 'Are you serious?!'

'Absolutely!' Jared cried.

'Hey you three,' their older brother, Jayce, said, walking into the room. 'Mom said it's time to take your pills.'

'Carry me,' Josie said, holding her arms up and giving Jayce the puppy dog eyes. He relented, picking up his little sister, who cheered. The four walked down the stairs of their bare house and into the kitchen, where three glasses of water and their mom was waiting.

'Here you three go,' Their mom, Jolie, said, handing them each a glass of water and a few pills. 'Try not to choke.'

In unison, the triplets swallowed the Adderall just as their dad, Joel, walked through the door.

'Hello!' He exclaimed, holding up a bag. 'I come bearing gifts!'

'Is it food?' Jesse asked.

'Ten bucks says it's Chinese,' Josie snickered.

'Ten bucks says it's McDonald's,' Jared laughed.

Joel winced. 'Sorry Jared. You owe Josie ten bucks.'

'No!'

Josie cheered and high-fived her dad. The six of them pulled open the bags and piled their plates high with Chinese noodles, chicken, beef, and vegetables.

'So,' Joel said. 'Everyone knows we are leaving tomorrow at seven.'

Josie's eyes widened. 'In the morning?!'

'Yes,' Joel nodded. 'So, that means wake up call is at six thirty.'

Josie groaned, slamming her head on the table.

'But,' Joel smirked. 'If we leave before seven, we'll get you four new lacrosse sticks.'

'Woah, really?' Jared gasped.

Jolie nodded, smiling. 'Really.'

'Well,' the triplets said in unison. 'We're going to bed early.'

The next day, Jesse woke Josie and Jared up ten minutes early, knowing how long it takes them to wake up. It was a chilly day, so Josie put on black cargo pants, a blue long sleeved shirt, and a black beanie. Jared was wearing black sweat pants and a grey T-shirt, and Jesse wore dark blue jeans and a green T-shirt.

'C'mon, c'mon, c'mon!' Josie chanted. 'We gotta hurry! We only have--' she pulled out her phone. 'Half an hour!'

'I got dad's keys!' Jared hollered, holding them up.

Jesse clapped. 'Alright! Operation 'move out' is a go! Autobots; roll out!'

With that, the triplets grabbed their suitcases and threw them into the truck. Then, they decided to put their dad's, mom's, and Jayce's luggage in the car too, just so they could leave earlier. Then, they prepared a customized bag of snacks for each person, since everyone has different tastes. Those went into the car as well. They packed movies and the movie player, grabbing headphones. At six-fifty, they woke the rest of their family up, and pestered them until they left.

'You four are lucky,' Joel said, turning the keys and starting the car. 'It's seven fifty-eight. So, that means--'

'NEW LACROSSE STICKS!' The four hollered in unison, fist pumping. The rest of the car ride consisted of Josie quoting movies, gorging themselves on chips and crackers, playing on their phones, and singing along to the radio. Hours, ten bathroom breaks, and four hotels later, the Cardinal family arrived at their new home.
