There was once an old couple who loved each other deeply and have been living with each other for the past 70 years in their house on the hill.
One day the old woman woke up very ill and the man rushed her to the hospital.
The doctors gave her a week to live.
On the first day she said to the man. "Honey. There is a box in my closet. Do not open it till my last day here with you." The man said he would keep his promise and wouldn't get close to the box.
On the fourth day the man got curious and started asking her wife questions. "What's in the box? Why won't you tell me? Is it that important?" She never answered a single question. She only responded with "If you love me you won't go near the box."
On the seventh day the husband brought the box with him to the hospital. As he sat down next to his wife he became nervous and didn't want to open it because he thought that not opening the box would keep her alive.
She opened it for him.
Inside the box there were 72,000 dollars cash and 2 rag dolls.
She then said "Everytime I would get mad at you I would make a rag doll to calm me down."
When she said that it brought the man to tears because after being together for 70 years there were only 2 dolls. He then said. "Where did this money come from?"
She then said with a grin on her face. "That's the money I got from selling the other rag dolls."
They then laughed and hugged for the last time.
