I awoke from the smell of breakfast. I've been here for two weeks with my grandparents, every morning waking up to the delicious smell of grandma's famous breakfast, two chocolate chip pancakes with three pieces of bacon. She was a sweet woman.

After lying in my bed for ten minutes before actually getting up. I went to the bathroom that connected to my room and brushed the side of my head and trimmed the other shaved half like I always did on Monday mornings.

Once I was presentable in my large hoodie and sweatpants I walked down stairs to the kitchen where I was greeted by the short, wrinkled, but always smiling, woman who was my grandmother. I had only seen her cry once and that was two weeks ago at my mother and father's funeral.

She looked at me and smiled as I approached her with a warm smile and hug. She was cooking breakfast but had already made me a plate.

Next to me at 6'0" she looked so small since she was only 5'5". I had gotten my height from my father who, like me, had long legs. My mother and my grandparents on the other hand were short with short legs.

"Oh hello dear, good morning, your plate is over there," she said pointing to the plate next to the stove with her shaky hand. I smiled and kissed her cheek which made her smile grow wider as she tapped my hand then returned to her cooking. I grabbed my plate and a fork then went to the table where I sat every morning and ate.

Once I finished my meal and cleaned my dishes, I went back to my room. I decided to get dressed and actually do something productive today. I opened my closet and threw off my pajamas. Then put on my high waisted, black, skinny jeans and a shirt, that told the ultimate lie; I woke up like this. I tucked it into my jeans to highlight my long legs. I sat on my bed and put on a fresh pair of socks along with my old, black Doc. Martins. Then, I went into the bathroom and fixed my hair the usual way, wavy. Once my hair was done I added my eyeliner and some dark red lipstick.

This would be the first day I left the house in two weeks other than to join my grandmother while shopping so I wanted to look sorta nice.

I grabbed my purse and my phone and headed downstairs where my grandparents were sitting together on the couch, holding hands and reading with the other hand, they were so cute. "Do we need anything from the store? I feel like going out," I said interrupting the perfect silence.

"There's a list on the fridge, dear," my grandmother replied pointing to the fridge with the hand that once held her book, not releasing my grandfather's hand.

I nodded and grabbed the list and stuffed it in my pocket saying, "I'll be back in a bit," and grabbed the keys with one hand and opened the door with the other then I left the elderly couple to their reading.

After the five minute drive to the store I arrived at the local Walmart where apparently everyone and their mother had to be at.

I found a parking spot and walked into the store. I retrieved everything from the list except for two things: red wine and whiskey. I stopped in the middle of the Walmart when I saw that was on the list. I could drink a bottle of whiskey...no problem...I'll just get two bottles and drink one on the way home... I shook the thoughts out of my head and quietly said, "no," to myself. I had just gotten sober and I was not going back...but how was I going to buy it? I'm only eighteen. Could I trick someone..? No. That's wrong. I paid for everything and left the store. While walking to my car I almost got hit by someone pulling out of a spot on a motorcycle. I could tell it was a man from his torso, plus he wasn't wearing a helmet and I could see both sides of his head were shaved and his hair was jet black and long in the middle, long enough to form a small bun on top of his head.

I was full of rage. My hands gripped the shopping cart with anger. I was about to scream when a raspy voice came from the man as he turned around, "whoa, I am so sorry, did I hit you? Please don't sue," he hopped off the motorcycle and ran up to me, he was tall, 6'4"-6'5" at least. He touched my arm, it made me shiver though his hands were warm. I couldn't see his eyes since he was wearing aviators along with a black leather jacket. He wore rings on his long fingers that were warm from probably the motorcycle.

"I am truly sorry for almost killing you with my bike," he took off his aviators and held them in the hand that once touched my skin, his eyes were a beautiful bright hazel and I almost melted in them. As if reading my thoughts he smirked at me.

"I've never seen you around here, new to town?" He asked as if nothing had happened. I just nodded slowly in reply and his smirk grew a bit wider. "I like the hair," he said motioning to my half shaved head.

"Oh um...thanks, I like yours too," I said intimidated by his height and closeness.

He chuckled then said, "thanks, what's your name?"

I tried to decide if I should trust him with my name but before I could decide I had already spoke, "Journey, Journey Reynolds"

"Interesting name"

"What's yours?" I asked a little too quickly after his response. He chuckled again.

"Terrance, Terrance Collins," he then looked at the list in my hand, "what's that?" He said motioning to my hand holding the list.

"Oh, it's my grocery list," I said looking down at my hand then lifting it with the list, "I just need the alcohol...but I can't get it cause I'm only eighteen..."

"I could go with you to buy it," he said a little quick and motioned to his motorcycle.

"H-how old are you?" I asked confused.

"Nineteen, but my parents kinda own the shop so I think they'll be okay with lending a nice girl like yourself some," he kept smirking at me.

"O-okay," I said a bit creeped out, "but I'm driving in my own car, you take your bike, just in case you wanna try anything." I said in a kind-of-joking tone.

He laughed, "you're cute," I blushed a bit and looked down and that made him chuckle and smirk wider and with that I started walking to my car which wasn't too far away and as I was turning to open the trunk I could see him looking at me, but definitely not my face.
