Isabella's POV

"So I have an idea." Leo announced, causing everyone to look at him. I took a seat next to Jordi on the couch and he softly smiled and I did the same in return. His brown hair fell a bit, but it was still beautiful.

"Since Isabella is new, and everyone always does better with friends, I suggest that she becomes a member of the Red Band Society. All for it, raise your hand." He raised his own hand, so did everyone else in the room.

"Red Band Society?" I questioned. "All of us, including Charlie, are in it." Jordi explained. "We all support each other." Dash jumped in. "No matter what." Emma chimed. I smiled. "And I am a part of it, after being here a hour?"

"Why wouldn't we want to have you here?" Jordi asked sweetly. I shrugged. "Well then it is settled, Isabella, you are now an honorary member of the Red Band Society." Dash announced.

Leo took a seat on his bed and it became 20 questions starring Isabella in no time.

"What are you here for?" "Osteosarcoma, left leg"
"Room number?" "5105"
"Do you have a family?" "It's just me and my dad. The way is has always been."
"What is your favorite color?" "Blue, like the dark blue when a sunset occurs."
"What do you like doing?" "I like taking pictures, and drawing."
"Do you sing or play instruments?" "Yes, and I play some guitar."
"What do you want to do when you get out of here?" "I want to travel."

The questions kept coming. Some were strange, like "Big mac or salad" from Leo, which I answered Big Mac. I kept answering until Kara asked, "Do you got a lucky guy in your life?" That one was painful. I looked down and shook my head. "No, not anymore. My boyfriend said he couldn't handle it, the cancer. Funny how I am getting my leg chopped off and going through chemo and he can't handle it." Jordi took my hand and squeezed it a bit, whispering "I am so sorry."

"Man that's dumb. If I was there, I would have given him an uneven jawline." Dash exclaimed, earning him a few laughs from the group. "I have an idea." Jordi said. "How about we go to the roof tonight? We went to the roof when I was going to get my leg chopped off, why don't we do it for Isabella?"

"That's really sweet Jordi." Emma replied. The rest of the group said, "Sure." and  "Why not?" Leo turned and explained, "The roof, where all the helicopter patients come in, is sacred to the RBS. We all enjoy our time together either in the swamp or up there." I nodded in response and we all agreed at 7 we would meet back here. I stood and walked back to my room and typed up a list for my dad on my iPad. The list included:

Sweats and various pajamas(Nothing too fancy really, maybe a dress or two but mostly lazy clothes)
My beanies
My Laptop
My camera
Pictures of me and him
A few various decorations from my room
My song book
And a hug from him

After I sent that I sat there for a bit staring at the ceiling. What was I going to do? I didn't have much of a choice. So I decided to inquire about various activities to Leo. I sent him a text asking just that. That is how 10 minutes later I was rolling down the hall, in a wheelchair, to the service elevator to go meet Ruben Garcia.

"Ruben is a legend here. When he dies, he will leave all his money to this place." Leo explained once we arrived in the elevator. He leaned to me and rested his elbow on the armrest. "The Garcia adult wing is named after him. He is like a hippie, but don't call him that. He prefers... hero or a cool dude." I laughed a bit as the doors opened and we rolled down the hall.
