Phil's thoughts

He was hugging me like I was his brave knight in shining armour. I felt a spark as he put his arms around my waist. 

I knew exactly where the light switch was, I just didn't want Dan to let go of me. I had to eventually. I felt as if he wanted to cuddle some more. 

The way his eyes sparkled in the light when it turned on just set off fireworks, it seems.

I'm in love with Dan, but I'm afraid he may not feel the same way. 

I hope and pray we'd someday be more than best friends.  I'd like to go out with him tomorrow. I'll take him and out and see if he likes me back. We'll go out and and see the shops, I'll buy him stuff and get some coffee together. I really hope this will go well.
