I wasn't expecting this kind of reaction. My eyes were watering I quickly turned around and went out the front door. The smell of woods filled my nose and calmed me down a little. Of course that would happen, I haven't been with Josh for very long, I just met his family, his sister hates me, and I'm being hunted. My eyes were blurry and I didn't even know where I was going but I hoped it was far from the house. I tripped on a trunk and fell to the ground.
  "Look what we have here." The voice in front of me snickered.
I looked up to see Raven, this day just keeps getting better. My hands were scraped and my jeans were ripped, a pair of my favorite jeans I might add.
  "Raven can't you see I'm already suffering enough."
  "It's just a joke, relax."
I pushed myself up off of my hands and brushed them on my pants. I guess Raven could see the tears streaming down my face because her bitchyness disappeared.
  "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry." She reached out her hand and helped me up. "You're pregnant."
  "How did you know that?"
  "I could sense it, come sit down with me." She led me to a wooden bench, this must've been her hang out spot. "You know I wasn't mean to you because I'm a bitch, I just didn't want you to take my brother away from me. I've seen how girls used him and I thought you were the same."
"I love your brother and I love his family. I can understand your point of view."
"Hey you wanna get out of this place and have some fun?"
"My clothes are torn and dirty." I stated.
"It's fine I have some clothes you can wear in my car."
"Are they gonna fit because I'm fat."
"They will fit trust me." She laughed.
I follow Raven back to her car and hop in, it's been a while since I've had "fun" so I wasn't going to pass up this opportunity. I grabbed the spare clothes and changed on the way to our destination.
"So by the way you were looking I figure you guys told Katrina and Adriana?"
"Yeah I wasn't going to be able to keep it a secret for long."
"Don't think that they aren't happy they're thrilled to have a little one running around the place, it's just that you aren't a vampire and we weren't expecting you to have a vampires baby."
"Trust me I found out about the curse and it was hard for me to believe."
When you get to know Raven she's not so bad I guess her bark was worse than the bite. I get the fact that she wants to protect Josh, it's her blood and I know I would do the same thing when it comes to Lilly.
"We're here, let's party!"
"A club? Josh would kill me if he knew I was here."
"That's why he's not going to know, Now come on."
She got out of the car went over to my side and pulled me out. We walked inside of Vice Versa, there were drag queens and people dancing and drinking.
  "You come here to party?" I said into her ear.
  "Hey don't knock it till you try it, this is the best club around."
We went to sit down at the bar, Raven ordered a Tequila Sunrise and I ordered water even though the cocktail was looking delicious. These were the days going out to party, at least for me because I don't get out much.
   "I'm gonna go dance you wanna join me?" She screamed.
   "I'll join you in a little while."
   "What!"
   "I said I'll join you in a little while."
She said okay and went off to dance but she stayed close enough. I watched her swing her head around while she danced to the beat of the music, she looked care free and pretty. Just as I turned around to go dance someone stopped me.
  "Hey pretty, did you come here alone?"
  "No I came here with my friend."
I started to walk away but he wouldn't go away.
  "Let's say we ditch this place and I show you a good time." He looked like a huge scumbag that preyed on women for fun.
  "You're a little too late." I touched my stomach and he stopped smiling but stepped closer to me.
  "Come on it'll be fun." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me into him and his hard little friend.
  "Get off of me right now." I snatched my hand away.
  "I don't take no for an answer." His eyes flashed red and his teeth grew longer.
  "Hi Christopher."
  "H-Hey Raven."
  "What are you doing with my sister? Actually the better question would be what are you doing in my territory?"
  "Your sister? Believe me I had no idea."
  "I wonder... What would Josh say if he knew you were trying to mark his girl?"
"No need to bring Josh into this Ray."
"Never call me that." She snarled. She put her hand on his shoulder and dug her claws into him, blood came out as he whimpered under her grip.
"Don't you ever show your face around here because if you do I promise you Josh will be the least of your worries, I'll rip your throat out myself."
She released her grip, grabbed my arm, and pulled me through the door.
  "Don't worry about him, he's a wimp.
  "I'm not worried about him."
  "Good."
  "I'm worried about him." I pointed in front of us to Josh.
  "Oh crap, we're so busted. Make a run for it."
  "I can't, I did all my running for the day earlier. Besides I may have just peed on myself."
  "Well it was nice knowing you."
  "Do you think he's mad?" I asked.
I knew the answer I just hoped that maybe just once I would be wrong.
"Oh no, he always clenches his jaw."
  "That's what I figured."
  "Give him the puppy dog eyes, it works for me." She whispered.
I walked over to him with puppy dog eyes.
  "Hi baby." I said.
  "It seems like I'm a broken record playing the same song over and over and over again."
  "I was fine, Raven just took me to have some fun."
"Raven will hear from me later."
"Relax cranky vamp, she was perfectly fine."
"Raven."
She held her hands up and backed away.
  "Josh she helped me out."
  "Both of you in the car."
  "You're being unfair." I said.
  "In the car now!"
I stomped towards Raven's car and got into the back seat with Raven. Josh pushed his hand through his hair and got into the drivers seat.
  "I guess the puppy dog eyes don't work anymore." She whispered to me.
  "I don't think so."
