Natalies POV:

"I can't believe you read my journal!" I said to my mom as we were headed to a therapist.

**Some of the journal; I'm sinking..**

The moment I spoke everyone was silent the whole ride. I rubbed my hands through my long brown streaky hair. I got out of the truck and glanced at my pale legs with faded scars as i pulled down my sweatpants. I trudged into the building and plopped onto the leather seat.

"How old are you?" Dr. Dooley said. "16" i mumbled. It's supposed to be exciting but it's just like any other worthless birthday. "Honey, can you step out for a minute." Dad said, and I listened.

I was wondering what they were talking about, so I peeked into the window. I saw Dr. Dooley surprised. I opened the door just a crack. "Your going to have to tell her sometime." the doctor said. Confused, I slammed the door open as I saw the heavy look on thier face.

"What did you want to tell me!" I shouted, demanding for a response. My parents looked at Dr. Dooley. "Your parents aren't really your parents." I fell to my knees and starred at my parents with an innocent eye. "You were a false obortion." the doctor kept explaining. "Your biological mother didn't really want you two." "Two?" I asked, tears fell from my eyes. "You had a brother, but he died at a young age." Grieving, I ran out of the room. My parents tried to stop me but the doctor held them back "Give her time. She heard this all in one day."

I ran passed the building trying to find a way home. A new home. I ran back to the house and packed up my stuff remembering the camp fire her friends were having, but i wasn't aloud to go. I wrote a note to my parents, explaining how I should be able to go. And Left

"Ow!" I heard looking up. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" I said. I stared at the straggly blonde hair with brown streaks, and I realized. "Drake!" I hugged him "Natalie!" He ruffled my hair. "How've you been!" Then I remembered when we first met. 1st Grade. Been pals ever since. Recently Drake had a meeting in Boston and left for a few months. "Natalie?" "Oh sorry just thinking." I faked a smile, and he could tell. "Nat, what's wrong." He touched my shoulders with his soft hands. "Nothing, don't worry about it." I said and started towards the fire

"Look who decided to make it!" Abby said and the rest of the group laughed. "Sorry I'm late." I said uncomfortably and sat down. "Want a drink?" Drake said and brought me a cooler. "Thanks" I grabbed an orange soda. "That's a lot of clothes for just an evening." Drake said looking in my backpack. "Give me that!" I snapped at him, afraid he might see my journal. "I came prepared is all." I said, he knew I was lying but he pretended he believed me. After we roasted marshmallows and had s'mores everyone left, besides me and Drake. (But I didn't know that)

I sat by what's left if the fire and to my surpirise another match lit up. I looked up and saw Drake. He sat next to me and laid my head down on his lap and fell asleep.
