It all started when the virus broke out. It happened so fast thousands of people being brutally murdered by something; which nobodys immune system could handle. It was spread quicker than the malarial illness which flooded through the tropical regions in this planet. Opticalextinction was the most fastest spreading infection to be contracted in human history.

We've been told that the virus takes minutes to claim it's next victim. Scouting around the open area trying to search for eyes that it can enhance or destroy. When the virus finds what it is looking for it latches on to you; it takes immediate effect as along as it reaches your eyes. There are five stages of the disease before death.

Stage 1:
Your eyes begin to swell, like a balloon is away to burst.

Stage 2:
The virus starts to quickly react with the liquids in your eye and turns them extremely acidic.

Stage 3:
Then it violently targets the wall of your eye and slowly eliminates your eye sight, afterwards all you see is darkness.

Stage 4:
As soon as the air seeps into the eye socket the liquid becomes radioactive which is spread immensely throughout your body.

Stage 5:
Once the radioactive liquid finds your brain. It enters the chambers of your cerebrum, activates a cancerous tumour which is spead up by the radiation and causes the patient to proceed with a painful death.

This has everyone on the edge, people are scared of what has yet to come. People say they've seen a new evolution in life which could destroy man kind itself. Everybody thinks that they are talking about the virus. I know they mean something bigger, something that is going to drastically change all of our lives one day.

Since the day that we were forced into this huge secured underground building, we have been living off rations that the army supply us with. Starvation is now a problem, the demand for food was slowly becoming a concern whether the human race could survive through this war. A war between the world and humanity. It's been 7 years from when the virus broke out. And here we are still hiding in the darkness, searching for the hope that we desire.

In a crisis like this you would expect humanity to be at peace. Well your wrong, countless number of people have been made to get blood tests. This was to see who had weak genes and who had strong genes. The people who had the stronger genes where made to breed with one another. The medically qualified told us that if we created newer generations there would be a bigger chance of survival for the human race.

They took advantage of this and made videos and watched them for their own satisfaction. We were all treated like slaves, like a piece of dirt. Nobody bothered to protest with the higher authorities because we saw what happened to someone when they challenged this new law. Humanity was lost, every right we had was gone.

The people who where resistant got beaten and were thrown into the clear glass rooms. The ones that weren't up for mating were threatened to be abandoned outside, left for the virus to finish them off. We have no more rights, there is no freedom, it's no longer a debate it's a dictatorship. All of us are being treated like shit. The people who are tossed away like a piece of trash scream for their lives.

That soon changed when parties started to go missing. Two groups have already been slaughtered, so that's ten people dead in a matter of twenty four hours. Fifteen military soldiers went out to see what was wiping out the other humans. But they didn't come back, all we could here were gun shots and helpless men screaming and begging for their lives to be spared. Then there was silence.

We were all given three tasks to do, while doing these assignments we were being assessed by the military and doctors. Each task consisted of five fractional tests which tested our emotional state, fitness state and challenged our abilities and capabilities that are within us. Some people made new discoveries about themselves that they didn't know what they were actually capable of doing.

This test was meant to categorise us into five different groups: They labeled the groups, Vision, Audition, Gustation, Olfaction and Tactician. They named the groups after the five senses, So Vision = Sight, Audition = Sound, Gustation = Taste, Olfaction = Smell and Tactician = Touch. The category you scored highest in, revealed which category you were put into . The people who averaged out their percentages were thrown into a lab and was restricted to a hospital bed. Before they could make a runner they were knocked out cold and tied to a hospital bed.

It is very rare to see someone score the same percentage in each category. But I'm interested to see what my results were because to be honest with you I don't have a clue.

I was sitting in a room with four blank walls staring at me, I was nervous about my test results but I don't know why. The door opened from behind me; I froze the walls went grey; the hairs on my arms began to rise; hearing the foot steps getting closer and closer made my hands go clammy, then she spoke. I stood up and didn't move, we stood arm length apart. She sighed and dipped her head a little "Your results have come through" she looked at me over her glasses "It seems that you have scored...." my heart started to race, I could feel my brain pulsing off my skull. "100% in every test. I'm sorry to tell you this but you don't fit into any of the categories that are given."

Hi my name is Dexter Low; I'm nineteen years old; and I am the first and youngest to score full marks in the assessments. They call it Extrasensory perception or as other people call it The Sixth Scent.
