Chapter 1

 Matt's Point Of View

Let me tell you an unbelievable story of an epic adventure. Ok, here we go....

20 YEARS BEFORE

It was a foggy night in early April, And I was awoken by a faint 'whoosh' sound. I woke confused, sitting up in my bed, rubbing my tired, droopy eyes. I thought it was my imagination, but I heard it again, except it was slightly louder, and the weird noise lasted longer that before. 'Whoossssh' Now I was getting creeped out. I went to turn on the lights, but I saw a small white dot, the side of a ping-pong ball, swirling around like a tornado, along with the sound, but the noise was A LOT louder and A LOT longer. 'WHOOOOSSSSSSH' In a blink of an eye, the white dot grew into a portal 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide. The last thing I remember is a walking toad picking me up and throwing me threw me through the portal, and I landed in a small box- like shape with no cover.

"Ow!" I blinked a few times. ''W-Where am I?" I pondered. "Dreamland." Said a 3 foot talking toad. He had a plum- purple jacket with a golden collar and emerald-green buttons. He had a cane that matched his jacket.

"Dreamland? What the heck is that?" I questioned. Professor Toad looked at me.

"Well, Dreamland is one of the many universes out there. I'm from a certain division of Dreamland, By The Way Dreamland is divided in 3 divisions, Toad Town, Cotton Candy Palace, and Princess Villa. Guess which one I'M from?" He smiled from ear-to-ear.

"Uh, Toad Town! It's obvious!" I smiled back. Professor Toad had an annoyed look on his face.

"NO! COTTON CANDY PALACE! WHY DOES EVERYONE SAY TOAD TOWN? IT MAKE ZERO SENSE!" He shrieked. I had an 'are you serious' look on my face.

"And we're off!" Toad smiled.

"Wait, where are we 'off' to?" I stood up and glared at the 3 ft toad.

"Well, according to my map, the Rainbow Universe, there you'll claim the Rainbow Sword. After that, we'll head straight into Nightmare Land, where you'll claim the Shield Of Spikes. Then we'll head in the Never Ending Forest, where you'll claim the 'surprise weapon' In the middle of the Never Ending Forest, is King Cow's Castle. Once There, you guys will fight to the death. Whoever wins could change life forever. If he wins, you're world will end in a terrible catastrophe, BUT if YOU win, you're world WON'T END and you could come visit me anytime you want for as long as you live."

I stood in shock.

"So basically there's a fifty percent chance that me and every other living human on planet Earth will die if I loose a fight?" I asked.

"Yeah, basically. But there's also a fifty percent chance that none of that will happen AND you could come here anytime you wish!" Toad had a guilty smile on his small green face.

"Wow." I said.

"Yeah. I know." Toad said, not paying attention to me.

"Wait, why me?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" He said in dispute.

"Why did I get chosen? I replied.

"OHHHHHH! We put the names of everybody in the world 20 and up in a hat and we randomly picked." Toad answered.

"But i'm 10." I said. Toad was clearly embarrassed.

"Oh. I have to talk to my boss about that then. It's to late to go back now." Toad turned around. "Goodbye dreamland!" He whispered to himself.\

"Well, what are we waiting for? We have a world to save!" I said proudly.

" That's the spirit Matt!" Toad said as he jumped up and down.
