Chapter 1:

I turn to make my way down the flight of fourteen steps in my house. I grabbed my phone off my bed, before I did so. I was half way down the stairs when I heard someone call my name from the living room.

"Skye, will you get me a cup of tea darling?" I walked around the corner to see my mother sitting on the sofa. I smiled slightly at her.

"Sure thing." I said walking out of the room.

"Wait. Skye, when you're done come back. Your father and I would like to tell you, Lily and your little brother something." She grinned at me.

I walked into the kitchen, where my fifteen year old sister was sitting. Lily, has long brown hair and dark green eyes. She has the perfect body and the brightest smile. We fight occasionally, but not often. She's my little sister, we're always there for each other. Lily has been training to be a gymnast since she was three. They say by the time she's seventeen she'll be ready for the Olympics. I smiled at her and turned to the cupboard to grab a mug.

"What does mum and dad want to talk to us about?" I asked plugging the kettle in. She lifted her head up from her phone and looked at me.

"I'm not sure. But I heard them talking yesterday, about the "big plan". Whatever that means." Lily said shrugging her shoulders. I sighed and poured the boiling water into the mug.

"What do you mean. "Big plan"? I asked worried. Lily smirked.

"Oh Skye, I'm sure it's nothing bad. Just chill" Lily said, walking out of the kitchen. I followed her into the living room, and handed my mother her tea. She smiled up at me and patted the couch implying me to sit down. Collins wobbled his way over to me, and climbed onto my lap. I made a funny face at him, and tickled his sides lightly. He started laughing and grinning. Collins is my 10 month old little brother. He doesn't have much hair, but his eyes are so big and grey it makes everyone love him. Just then my dad walked into the living room, and cleared his throat.

My father, William moved from America 20 years ago once he met my mum. He worked in the military over there, so he's quite strict, yet still loving. He now owns his own business. A law form to be exact. My mother is a nurse at the Manchester Untied Hospital, so our family makes quite a few pounds a year.

"Alright. Your mother and I would like to finally tell you what we have been planning" My dad started. Everything was silent.

"We have decied to move, back to America." My mouth fell to the floor as did Lily's. I tired to say no, or scream, or anything. But nothing I was shocked.

"We'll be closer to your grandparents, and I got a job, back in the military." My Dad said.

"B-but." I began to stutter.

"We don't want to move." Lily finished for me. I nodded my head, as both of my parents sighed.

"This will be good for us." My mom reassured. I glanced over at Lily, I saw the light in her eyes fade. I swore she was about to break down in tears.

"What about." Lily started, but stopped to regain herself. "What about training, what about my team?" Lily began to cry. My mother rubbed her back and pulled her close.

"There will be a gym, right around the corner from our new house. Don't worry honey. Their already begging to have you join them." Lily wiped away her tears and walked up the stairs to her room. I shuttered as her door slammed with force.

"What do you think of this Skye?" My father asked, I glared up at him.

"I hate it." I spat, as I groaned while stomping out of the living room.
