– ONE WEEK LATER

INT. MONICA’S KITCHEN – MORNING

Ronnie sits at the counter with Chandler. Her hair is damp from the shower. She holds a tiny pill in her hand. Her face is tense.

"Hey. You don’t have to do this for anyone. Just with us." Her brother told her

(half-smile)
"I’m not scared of the pill. I’m scared of what happens after." The teenager said

"That’s okay. Being scared means you're about to do something brave." Chandler said

She takes it. Swallows. Drinks orange juice. It’s quiet. Chandler doesn’t say anything — just stays beside her.

– BACK TO SCHOOL

INT. HIGH SCHOOL HALLWAY – LATER THAT WEEK

Ronnie walks with Jake through the crowded hallway. Her eyes are a little tired. She hears whispers behind her. Jake notices instantly.

Girl (quietly)
That’s her. The one who, like… lost it.

Guy
I heard she was in therapy and on, like, meds now.

(Ronnie freezes. Jake clenches his jaw.

(to Ronnie)
"Ignore them. They know nothing." He told her

(quiet)
"But I do. I know how fast they turn on people like me." She said

– CLASSROOM BREAKDOWN

INT. ART CLASS – AFTERNOON

Ronnie sits at her desk, drawing with shaking hands. Her heart is racing. Her skin feels too tight. The teacher is speaking, but her voice drowns out. Everything goes static. Ronnie suddenly stands, stumbling toward the door.

"Ronnie? Do you need—" the teacher asked

Ronnie’s gone. Into the hallway. Into the bathroom. She’s breathing too fast. She clutches the sink. She’s shaking. Then: Jake bursts in — clearly ran after her.

(soft but firm)
"Ron. Look at me. Look at me."

She does. Barely.

(panicked)
"It’s happening again. I feel like I’m slipping. I thought the pills were supposed to fix this."she said

"They’re not magic. You’re still you. And this? This is just a wave. Not a fall." He told her

He puts her hand on his chest. His heartbeat. Slow. Steady.

(low)
"Match me, okay? Breathe in. One… two…
Breathe out." He told her

She tries. Again. Again. Her shoulders drop just slightly.

– MONICA’S COUCH – THAT NIGHT

INT. MONICA’S APARTMENT – NIGHT

Ronnie is curled up in sweats. Monica brings tea. Phoebe lights incense. Rachel offers a blanket. Joey tries to make her laugh with sock puppets. Chandler doesn’t say anything, just holds her hand. Jake sits on the floor by her feet, quietly leaning on her leg.

(hoarse)
I don’t want to scare you guys away.

Phoebe:
Sweetie. You’d need a demon exorcism to scare us away.

Monica:
And even then, we’d light candles and fight it with snacks.

Ronnie:
It’s just… hard.

Chandler:
It’s okay to say that.

✏️ RONNIE’S JOURNAL ENTRY – MIDNIGHT

> “I took the pills. Went back to school. Faced the world. And I still broke down.”
“But this time… no one ran.”
“Jake stayed. Chandler didn’t flinch. Monica made tea. Rachel made space. Phoebe cracked weird jokes. Joey made sock puppets.”
“I fell. And someone was there to catch me.”
