Chandler and Monica’s guest room — late evening.
Ronnie and Jake lie side by side on the bed. The lights are dim. A soft indie song plays from her phone speaker. They’re not touching, but close.
(quietly) "You’re quiet tonight." He told her
(staring at the ceiling) "Just thinking." She said
"About?" He asked
"You. Me. All of it.
(beat) How much things have changed." She said to him
"Yeah. Sometimes I wake up and forget all the crap we’ve been through. Then it hits me again." He told her
"Same.
(pause) Do you ever think we… grew up too fast?" She asked him
(looks over at her) "Maybe. But... we’re still here." He said
"We are.
(turns to face him) And we’ve been through so much. Therapy. The crash. My diagnosis. That night in London…"she told him
(softly) "You don’t have to explain. I get it." He said
"I know.
(beat) I just want us to be on the same page. About where we’re going."she told him
" I want that too. I’m with you, Ronnie. All the way.
But only if you’re ready." He said
" That’s just it… I think I am.
(her voice shakes slightly) Not just the... physical stuff. I mean the real stuff. Being all in. Letting someone actually love me without pushing them away." She said
(reaches for her hand) "I’ve loved you for a while now.
I didn’t say it before because… I didn’t want to scare you."he told her
(squeezes his hand) "I was scared.
But not of you. Of me." She said
"I know."
"But I want to try. To really try. I want to go further with you. Physically, yeah, but only because I feel safe now. Because I trust you." She said to him
J(eyes glassy)" That means everything to me.
(beat) I want it to be right. For both of us." He said
"Then we take our time.
(pauses) But… maybe soon?" She asked
(soft grin) "Yeah. Soon."
(he leans in slowly and they kiss, not rushed, just real.)
(They stay like that for a moment—holding each other. No rush. No pressure.)
"Jake?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you too."
The kiss that follows isn’t rushed — it’s slow, drawn out. Soft lips, warm skin, the kind of kiss that makes your whole chest ache. Ronnie’s hand slides up his chest, fingers clenching his shirt as she pulls him closer.
He shifts, gently pushing her back against the pillows, never breaking the kiss. Their bodies align slowly, naturally, as if they’ve done this a thousand times in dreams.
RONNIE
(murmuring against his lips)
I don’t want to stop this time.
Jake pulls back, just slightly, his forehead resting against hers. His voice shakes.
JAKE
Me either. But only if you’re sure. Really sure.
Her answer is another kiss, deeper this time. Her legs wrap gently around his waist, her hands in his hair. There’s a quiet desperation now — the kind that comes from finally letting go.
Clothes are loosened. Skin meets skin in brief, tentative touches. Breath hitches. Heartbeats quicken.
Jake pulls the covers over them both, holding her gaze.
JAKE
(tenderly)
We’ll go slow. Together.
She nods, never looking away. In this moment, there’s no fear. Just trust.

INT. HOTEL ROOM – MORNING – LONDON
Soft morning light filters through the curtains. The room is quiet except for the distant sound of traffic and birds outside. Ronnie is lying on her side, her hand resting gently on Jake’s chest. He’s still half-asleep, one arm around her protectively.
(murmuring, eyes still closed)
"Morning."
(smiling sleepily)
"Hey." She said
A pause. The kind of silence where nothing needs to be said — the air feels warmer than before. Safe.
"You okay?" He asked her
"Yeah.
(she nods slowly)
Better than okay, actually." She told him
Jake opens his eyes and turns slightly to face her, brushing a strand of hair from her face.
"Last night… that was—" he says
"—Everything I needed."
(she looks away for a moment, then back)
"I didn’t think I could trust someone like that again. But you made it feel… safe." She told him
"Because you are safe. With me." Told her
He kisses her forehead, and she leans into him.
"You think things will change now?" She asked him
"Probably. But not the way I feel about you. That’s staying exactly the same."he told her
They both smile softly. Jake shifts onto his back, and Ronnie curls against his side, letting her fingers trace shapes on his arm.
" I’m scared. Not of you… just of how good this feels."
"Me too. But maybe that’s what makes it real."
A long beat of silence, filled only by the sound of their breaths syncing.
(quietly)
"I love you."
Jake glances down at her. It’s not dramatic. It’s not loud. It’s just real.
JAKE
"I love you too."
