Chapter 13

Finally it’s the weekend...I can go home and do some cleaning, wash some clothes, then sit out on my patio in the shade and relax with a book.  I grabbed my keys, purse; bag turned my computer off and walked out of the door checking to be sure the door was locked.

Traffic was a nightmare, and after an hour of bumper to bumper traffic, I was pulling into my driveway.  I jumped out of the car with all my stuff and rushed over to the door, opening it throwing all my things on the couch.  I kicked off my shoes and started stripping down as I walked up the stairs.  I went straight into my bathroom turned the shower on and climbed in feeling the warm water beating down massaging my body.  I just stood there letting the water pelt down on me releasing all the stress and tension of the day.

I finished washing and turned the shower off and grabbed a towel wrapping it around me and walked into my bedroom.  I went to my dresser draw and pulled out a pair of sleep pants and a tank top.  I put moisturizer on my body and pulled my clothes on.  I walked back downstairs and went back into the living room grabbing my purse and bag.  I heard my phone vibrating in the bottom of my purse; I threw it down on the table and grabbed it trying to answer it before whoever it was hung up. I looked at the screen to see the name flashing it was Kevin.  I wasn’t in the mood to talk to him right now so I let it ring until it went to voicemail.

Finally it stopped ringing and the symbol popped up signaling that I had a voice message.  I didn’t bother checking it; I would listen to it later.  I went into the kitchen and fixed me a salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, chopped up boil eggs a little cheese and I went to the fridge and pulled out a chicken breast that I had in there put it in the microwave and heated it up and diced it up and put it in my salad.  I added croutons and bacon bits to my salad and poured Thousand Island dressing on it.  I went back through and picked my phone up and sat down in my lazy boy chair and watched a western.

My phone vibrated again, and again it was Kevin.  I don’t know why, but I just didn’t want to talk to him.  I was still kinda pissed off from the other night when he decided he would propose to me without us talking about it first.  I just let it ring; maybe he will get the hint if I don’t answer.

I finished my dinner, picked up my phone, turned off the TV and took my dishes back to the kitchen washed them up.  After I was finished putting my dishes away I headed upstairs to bed.  I was exhausted.  As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out.  My phone went off again, at first I didn’t bother to answer it, but something told me to grab the phone to see who it was. I jumped up and pushed the talk button hoping I wasn’t too late.

“Hello?”

“Helllooooo?”

Damn he hung up.  I quickly pushed the redial button.  I hope he answers the phone.

“Hello?”

“Hey sweetie sorry I missed your call.”

“Its cool babe, I didn’t look at the clock before I dialed your number, sorry for waking you up.”

“Oh no it’s fine; I was hoping you would call. I miss you and was hoping you were calling to say you were coming over.”

“Oh really, you want to see me?”

“Of course I want to see you.  I haven’t seen you in over a week and I have been missing your sweet lips.  Are you up to coming over?”

“I would baby, but I have to work in the morning and I don’t want to be too tired tomorrow.  I don’t plan to just come over just called to say hi; so you go back to whatever you were doing and I will see you tomorrow when I get off from work.”
