Christians POV

Hangovers were never fun. I woke up with my head pounding. I was passed out on the Gibson's beige couch with drool on my mouth. I sat up slowly and tried to adjust my eyes. It wasn't too bright because the shades were pulled and the only light was coming from the TV on the other side of the room. I rubbed my face and looked around. In front of me were 2 pills which looked like Aspirin and a glass of water. Next to it was a note.

Take these. They'll help.
~Ana

I took the two pills and stood up slowly. I immediately felt dizzy. I waited a couple minutes before walking to the bathroom. I could hear someone walking around the house and figured it was Eric. I finished up and washed my hands before splashing some water on my face to help wake me up. The Aspirin was already kicking in and my head wasn't pounding as bad as it was. When I opened the door my nose was filled with the smell of eggs and bacon. I followed the smell and saw Ana cooking. She was making a plate for 2 people. I pulled over a stool and sat at the island and watched as she put the dishes she used in the 2 sided sink. She turned around and put a plate right in front of me.

"Eat." she pulled a stool over to the other side of the island so she was sitting across from me. Her hair was pulled up into a bun and she was still in her pajamas. She had no make-up on but to me she looked even more beautiful. She noticed me staring and her eyes widened. "What is there something on my face?" She asked with her mouth full of eggs. I couldn't help but laugh.

"No," I answered "there's nothing on your face."

"Then why are you staring at me?"

"Because you're beautiful." she choked on her eggs and I immediately went to her and started patting her back. "Oh my god, Are you okay?" She kept coughing but nodded. She took a drink of water that she had sitting by her and cleared her throat.

"Yeah." She finally said after regaining her ability to breathe. "I was just shocked that's all."

"Oh." I said quietly. We ate in an uncomfortable silence. Neither one of us knowing what to say after my compliment. Ana took my plate after I was done and started doing up the dishes. I smiled fondly at her. I still couldn't believe that I hadn't noticed her before. Was I really that blind? Now that I think about it, I had always come over to tell Eric about the girls I had gotten with or to play baseball or to just chill. I had never taken the chance to look around or anything. However, that isn't a good excuse. I considered Eric my family since the one I am actually related to doesn't act like one. I should have noticed. I shook my head as if to erase the thoughts from my head. I decided on taking a shower since I smell like alcohol and sweat. I grabbed some clothes from my bag and went to the shower.

*********

Eric had woken up shortly after I had gotten out of the shower. He was already dressed and ready to take on the day. He didn't even seem to have a hangover from last night. But then again he did have less than me. After he ate breakfast we agreed on going to the skate park because he said he was getting a little rusty on his tricks. It was around noon when we left and it was going on 5:30 now. We hadn't made too much small talk because we were too focused on trying out some new tricks and perfecting our old ones. Now we were sitting at the old wooden table next to the skate park.

"So who do you have your eyes on now?" Eric asked. He wasn't fond of using girls for sex but he would always ask me about these things anyway. He actually had a girlfriend for a year before finding out she cheated on him with some new freshman.

"Eh, I don't know. I don't there is anyone I'm interested in right now." Lies.

"Aww running out of girls to use?" He asked sarcastically. I punched him the arm and we started laughing.
