___________________________I rolled over to look at my alarm clock. As I opened my eyes the bright light pierced through, and a sharp pain came to the back of my head and stomach. I kept my eyes closed for a few moments. "Hey man, the bitch is waking." A raspy voice said quite loudly. Fuck. Memories of what happened flooded into my brain. I jerked my body up, just as I thought I was up I got yanked back down. My hands were tied to the metal bed frame above the bed. "Clam the fuck down. You're going to hurt yourself more."
"Mmm." I tried to say words, but I couldn't seem to make anything out. I peeled my dry eyes open and looked over to the boy sitting next to me. The man who grabbed me was the kid sitting next to me. He had to be about nineteen. No younger, no older. He had a strong facial structure and dark features. His eyes were a deep gray color and his hair black as the night. If he didn't just help to kidnap me, I'd say he was hot. And I mean he still is but I shouldn't think that. He looked at me as I was staring and got up from his seat. He walked over to the bed I was on and touched my side. I tried to wiggle away but the ties didn't give too much.
"We honestly thought you weren't going to wake." I shot him a puzzled look and I guess he caught on cause he answered exactly what I was thinking. "You've been out for three days." My jaw fell open. As I shut my mouth back I realized how dry it was, most likely due to not drinking anything in three days.
I once again tried to speak but not much came out. "C-can." Is all I could say.
"Can you what?" He replied quickly, annoyance in his voice.
"Water?" I managed to slip out. He nodded and walked away.
I could tell they were werewolves like me, but I hadn't actually interacted with one in years. I knew they weren't my past pack, but I couldn't figure out who they were cause I have no idea where I even am.
I just laid there waiting for who knows how long hoping he was actually going to get me something to drink. A seemingly familiar scent of cinnamon and rain perfectly mixed flooded my senses, the wonderful scent of a male wolf near me. His smell grabbed my attention right away. Just then a new young man came in. Our eyes met and I knew. But why would the fates bring us together in such a bad way?
He was slightly older, but he looked similar to the other boy. He had the same strong cheek bones and jaw line. The same dark grey eyes, but light blonde hair so pale it was almost white. He was absolutely beautiful but I wanted to hate him. He had a glass in his hand and walked slowly over to me. He sat the glass down onto a table near me and walked over to the bed. He reached for the rope above my head and undid it. I sat up slowly with his assistance and looked over to him again. He walked back to the table, retrieved the cup, and brought it to me. I put my hands around the cup and sipped. I drank it all to the bottom and then cleared my throat.
"Thank you." I said quietly. He just smiled back. He sat in the chair the other guy was in and didn't speak. "You're not going to tie me up?" He shook his head no. "Do you speak?" He nodded. "Okay." I stopped talking.
I ran all the options of what I could do next through my mind. My thoughts were going a hundred miles an hour. An escape plan was my best option.
'You can't just leave your mate. You just met him.' Thea, my wolf voiced herself for the first time in a while. She was excited about meeting her mate, I however was currently too pissed off to care at the moment.
'He just kidnapped me, I think I can.' I retorted.
'Give him a chance.' She started to try and surface.
'Fuck off right now. I need to get out of here.'
With that she stopped talking to me. I can see a hallway from the bed I'm on. If I run as fast as I can maybe I can get to a room and either make it out a window or a door. I pulled myself forward a bit to see if I had the strength. It hurt, but I could manage. I leaped out of the bed as the boy behind me jumped up. I ran to the stairs in front of me as a door down the hall flew open.
"Grey, catch her," someone shouted past me. I didn't think. I just let my feet carry me down the stair way. Several more men and women were sitting on the couch on the main floor. Most of the men hurried to the feet and rushed towards me. Shit which way, I have no chance of escape anymore. I stopped turned and bolted at the two guys at the top of the stairs. I could attempt to make it past the two of them and find a room with a window or at least have time to think. I ran head on into one of them and fell flat in my butt and landed backwards on the stairs. A guy down the steps chuckled, "Wow Grey. You barley had her for ten minutes and you already had her running." My mate, I'm assuming his name is Grey, softly grabbed me up, threw me over his shoulder, I knew I was screwed but I was too distracted by the pain in my stomach and the feeling of rejection and disappointment from my new mate. He walked briskly back to the room, slammed the door shut, and dropped me down on the firm bed.
"I tried to let you have some freedom, but you just took that privilege away from yourself." His voice was so soothing, even threatening me sounded nice coming from him. I didn't even feel worried for a moment hearing his calming voice. Quit, I told myself, he is flipping holding you hostage. "Lay back down."
I crossed my arms over my chest. "No."
"Lay back down now. I don't even want to do this but I have almost as little of a choice as you."
"That's bullshit, and make me." I remarked. I was acting as a child would, but I didn't know what else I could do at this point besides refuse to do anything and everything.
He climbed onto the bed and straddled his legs over my chest. One of his large hands grasped both of mine and pulled them above my head. "Fine then. I will." I stated mockingly in defeat. He wrapped the rope around my wrist again with his free hand. He made it just snug enough to hold them there but not so much to hurt me as the last person did.
"Now get off me." I hissed at him. He smirked. He stayed put. I could feel tingles in my whole body as he touched me, but I fought back the urge to beg for him. "Now."
"Why should I listen to you? You didn't listen to me."
"Please?" I pouted.
"Aw, how cute, my mates begging for me already."
I froze. I knew he knew we were mates obviously, but hearing him say it is different then simply thinking it. "I'm not begging for you. I'm asking for the exact opposite. I want you off me. Please." This time I wasn't asking please. I was demanding.
He slowly lifted his body off me. "Stay put."
"It's not like I can go anywhere, you have me tied up dumbass." I sarcastically remarked and rolled my eyes at him.
Grey opened the door, stepped out, and shut it behind him. I was alone but I was even more scared now than before. My own mate, the person who's meant to keep me safe forever, is keeping me against my will. I dont know if I could ever get past that and come to love him even if he let me go.
