So here it is! As you can see, I accidentally deleted chapter 11. So here it is now. It served a vital part in this story, which is why I couldn't let it just slip by.

So, without further ado, here it is.

Replace Your Heart

Chapter 11 (Re-write)

Past

NATHAN.

"NATHAN!" Tom yelled from downstairs. "GET YOUR BUM OUT HERE, SHE'S ON CAMERA!"

I gave my tie one final tug and slipped on my jacket.

Not bad, Sykes.

I hope this will turn out great.

As soon as I slipped out of the room, I saw Alex's green eyes brimming with joy as she chatted with the boys (via Skype, of course).

When she saw me, her smile faded and I got a really bad case of butterflies.

The other boys turned around to look at me, and I wanted nothing more than to go back to my room. But no backing out now.

"Hey, Nath," Jay said, moving aside so I can squeeze in.

"Yeah, hey," I turned my attention back to the screen. "Hi, Alex."

"Yeah, hi, Sykes. Where are you going? You're dressed pretty fancy."

"Uh, nowhere. There's just one thing that I wanted to talk to you about."

Her eyebrows flew up her forehead. "Really now?" She remarked. "Nice to see you're finally talking to me."

I sighed. As you can see, I have been cowering for the last week. I couldn't talk to her. I wanted to push away how I felt. Because as the tour went on, my feelings for her deepened. It was pure insanity. I didn't want to get together immediately because of the distance.

Pretty soon I couldn't take it anymore, so here I am now.

"I know, and I'm sorry about that. But Alex," I began. "There's something I really wanna say."

She shrugged. "Hit me."

"Okay, Alex, you're the most beautiful girl I have ever met in my life. I hate being away from you, it just kills me. Knowing that somebody could take you away then and there. This tour is ridiculously long, and I fall for your spell deeper each day." I took a deep breath, watching her fidget in front of me, completely flustered. "Honestly, I never thought you would become this important in my life. It's insane. So... I'm falling for you and you probably know that now, but I guess what I'm trying to say is,"

I tried to stop myself from shaking.

"Alex, will you be mine?"

It was so silent you could hear a pin drop.

"Are you sure about this, Nath?" She asked nervously. "Maybe it's just infatuation or something-"

"No, Alex, I'm completely sure."

"I dunno, Nath. I-I'll think about it. Ask me tomorrow."

The effect was instantaneous. My mood dropped, and the pain of rejection stung my chest.

After a long silence, I finally said, "Okay."

"Aw, Nath, it's not that I don't feel the same-"

"I know. And it's okay," I replied, trying to fake a smile. "I'll wait for you as long as it takes."
