"Mags, wakey wakey," Katie whispered, shaking my shoulder. I groaned and sat up, jumping out of bed and sitting on her bed.

"What do we have going on today?" I mumbled sleepily, rubbing my eyes.

"Nothing much, you have Transfiguration at three, I have Divination at that time, and we have lunch at Hagrid's. Oliver canceled practice for today, he thought we all deserved a break," Katie answered, grabbing my hands and pulling me up out of my bed.

"Alright, alright," I answered, walking over to my dresser and picking out a pair of shorts and a Puddlemere jumper. I tried to be discreet as I plucked a few tampons out from the drawer as well, since it was my time of the month sadly, but Katie noticed.

"No wonder you've been so shirty lately," Katie teased as I walked to the bathroom, blushing a bit. Amelia was already in there, brushing her teeth, so I just changed my clothes and waited for her to leave so I could actually go to the bathroom. When I was done with that, I washed my hands, brushed my teeth, brushed my hair, and swiped on a bit of makeup before I made my way down to the common room, where we had all agreed to meet at the previous night. I walked down the stairs, trying to force myself to be pleasant today and ignore all the cramps that were raging in my lower stomach. I forced a pretty convincing smile as I walked into the common room and plopped down onto the couch next to Oliver.

"G'morning, beautiful," he whispered, pressing a kiss onto my cheek.

"Morning, handsome," I answered, snuggling into his embrace.

"Careful, she's quite shirty lately. She's menstruating," Katie chuckled, walking into the common room and plopping down onto the chair when Fred was sitting. I felt my cheeks heat up in both embarrassment and anger, glaring at her.

"Why in the bloody hell would you say that?" I growled out, my eyes shooting daggers.

"Calm down, it's just a joke," she said, rolling her eyes and laughing, but she was the only one really laughing.

"It's not funny," I huffed, standing up and walking back up to the dorms. "I'm going back to sleep, I'll see you all at Hagrid's," I mumbled, storming back up to the dorm. I wasn't necessarily so mad about what she had just said, even though it pissed me off a ton, I was mad at her whole demeanor. The way that she put me down so easily, I mean, she had been doing things like that for about a week now. She'd always make comments at my expense to somehow make herself seem better, and they always hurt my feelings because they were coming from someone who I thought was my best friend.

I opened the door to my room, slamming it shut as I kicked off my shoes and crawled up into my bed. I curled up into a little ball, since it made my cramps feel better, and pulled the covers up to my chin. I grabbed my wand, which was in the waistband of my shorts, and brought out my record player and my 'Your Song' record, placing the record on the player and playing the song. I closed my eyes as I tucked my arm back under the covers, taking a deep breath and just listening to the song. I hissed as one of my cramps intensified, feeling as if it was throbbing inside of me, and clutched my lower stomach. I tried to focus on the lyrics rather than the pain, but my cramps were always intense on the third day of my week, which was today. I heard a knock at the door, three simple taps, so I sat up and peeked over at the door.

"Who is it?"

"It's me," a familiar Scottish voice said, muffled, since he was behind the door.

"Come on in," I answered, laying back down in my bed and pulling the covers up to my chin again.

"Are you alright?" Oliver asked, sliding his shoes off and climbing up onto my bed. I nodded, suppressing the urge to sigh.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I was just annoyed that she said it," I answered as I scooted over in the bed. Oliver crawled over and slid under the covers next to me, wrapping his arms around me loosely.
