When I first constructed this chapter I couldn't sleep so I decided I would attempt to write it. Essentially, the chapter was short (it still is) and I wasn't satisfied with the way it came out. I couldn't even write the thing to be completely honest (lol). I also made note of my spelling errors from the previous chapters which are no longer evident. Lastly, I wanted to address that I had multiple motives for Dwayne the previous year, so chapter twelve was written three times before I analyzed plot and realized I shouldn't attempt to do whatever I was doing. At least not for this book anyways. Overall, if you've reached this chapter I simply want to say thank you for being patient with me. I know this story has been dragged out for years now, but it's apart of me. I hope you guys fall in love with it just like I have.
Dwayne
Scratching my neck, I sighed and shook my head, only to send Henry off. I wasn't going to make him do anything after noon on a Saturday. After all he does in general for me and the around the house, I might as well give him a break. I could prepare what I needed anyways.

"Her father?" Chaz asked me again for the third time.
"Yes, Chaz. Her father." I groaned. Chaz had followed me all the way from Buster's to my place. I had explained to him three times what was going on. Why Vanessa and I had such a complicated relationship and why one minute there was tension and the next everything was cool. Her father analyzed me as if I was some experiment or an infectious disease than needed to be contained and put into quarantine until further investigation. Essentially, he did have a logical reason to judge me, but he should know I'm simply a kid. I'm going through as much as the next person and he was once like me, if not worse. Vanessa didn't have one thought about alcohol until we started hanging out without Chaz around. She was going through family issues and she needed some way to cope. I had no idea what to do. I blame her father. After seeing her go through what she went through and attempting to help her although, she didn't necessarily want to be helped, I tried to help her the best way I could. I tried to numb her pain, the same way I had been trying to dumb mine. It was the only way I knew how. It's not like I was snorting coke or ingesting hard crack. The only difference was, she wasn't exposed to everything else like I was. Alcohol was the only thing she knew that could hide what she was going through. Her father took notice in how we acted around each other and wasn't pleased at all. We appeared off if you will. Vanessa did seem different, she was becoming worse than me and it was all my fault.
"Why didn't she tell me?" He mumbled, looking down at his designated PS4 controller. The skin was a vibrant camo, giving the device more personality than the default black base of the controller.
"Maybe she didn't feel the need to or maybe she wasn't ready. You know how Vanessa is ."
"She's been so distance." Chaz sighed, staring off into space.
"Yet so close." I responded, looking away from Chaz and turning on my Playstation. I sighed and nodded before plopping back onto the sofa and letting my body relax .
"Until Dawn?" I asked, shifting the conversation as I searched through my home screen I attempt to find the game.
"Until Dawn." Chaz agreed, eager to play the game and take his mind off of our beloved friend, Vanessa.
