Dark Matter [[ Dark Link x Zelda ]]

Chapter 2

Link was walking towards the castle at a normal pace. 'I'll finally get to see Zelda... it's been too long.', he smiled to himself as he was getting closer to the entrance bridge, it suddenly started pulling up. Link's eyes widdened 'Why would they pull up the bridge this early? I thought they only did it when it was getting night.'. "H-hey! Wait! Hold the bridge.", Link called and started rushing towards the bridge. "Who's there?", a deep voice called, seemingly one of the royal guards.

"It's me Link!", the bridge then started pulling down again. As it was fully down, one guard walked out from the gate to take a look at Link. "Oh, it really is you Link, c'mon hurry inside! We got something for you to help us out with.", the guard motioned for Link to follow him inside. Link rushed inside after the guard as the other one started pulling up the bridge once more."

"The princess has dissapeared !", Link exclaimed with widdened eyes. "Yes, that is the reason we were pulling up the bridge this early.", the leader of the guards was now facing Link. "B-but how? Did someone kidnap her? Have you looked through every corner in town?", Link asked. "It is still unknown whether the princess got out on her own, or if someone took her away. We are still around searching through all the parts in town", the leader spoke firmly. Link looked down at the floor in shock. 'T-this can't be.. Zelda..'. "I need to find her.", he said and narrowed his eyebrows.

"Yes, that is why we need your help. We need to continue searching through Castle Town for any tracks of her. I suppose you will help us with it.", the leader looked down on Link. "I will find her, one way or another I will! So you can count on me.", Link said with faith in his voice. The leader then nodded down at him.

'I will find you Zelda!'

"Why is there so many people around here? God this is annoying.", Dark muttered while continuing to drag Zelda through the enourmous crowd. "Well, it's called Castle town for a reason", Zelda stated and walked faster to keep in tact with Dark's pace. While looking around she spotted three young girls among the crowd that seemed to be cheeking Dark out. Their faces was red, looking as if they'd swoon any moment. Dark thought, didn't seem to notice anything as he was focusing on getting past all the people. 

With one last tug Dark had managed to pull the both of them through the crowd. He exhaled loudly and streched with his free arm, still holding onto Zelda's wrist as firm as before. "Well that was harder than excpected.", he turned around and looked at Zelda who was wearing an irritated look on her face, still angry about the fact that she had to give in so easily to him. "Didn't you walk through the crowd before? You seem so shocked about it.", she questioned him and raised an eyebrow. At this Dark smirked and then started dragging Zelda towards the entrance. "Nope, I just took my other form and swept right through the mass of idiots.", he stated almost proudly.

"Your other form?", she questioned again but suddenly was dragged behind one of the buildings "W-what are you-" "Shh, we don't want these guys starting any fuss." He pointed to the guards at the entrance of the bridge. "I'll need to get rid of them. Stay here princess, or you will regret running.", he whispered the last part in her ear and then suddenly dissappeared. 'W-what the.. where did he go?', Zelda looked around herself but couldn't get a glimpse of him anywhere.

That was until she saw a shadow moving very fast on the ground. Zelda's eyes widdened and she leaned a little out from the building she was hiding behind to look at the shadows movements. It was now taking shape on the buildings wall, moving towards one of the guards. Then suddenly the shadow popped out of the wall, took shape as Dark and now stood behind the guard. Dark immediately unsheated his sword and stabbed it through the guards heart, a gasp emitted from the guard and Dark then pulled his sword out quickly. Blood was gushing quickly out of the wound and the guard fell to his knees, his body then dropping to the ground. Zelda put a hand over her mouth in shock, her eyes wide at the scene. Dark then took shape as the shadow again, moving over the ground towards the other guard. As the guard was turning to check on his companion, he too shared the same fate as him when Dark once again formed up from the shadow.

Dark then bent down and used the guards sleeve to wipe off the blood from his sword, sheathing it once it was clean. He rose up and walked over to the princess behind the building. Zelda was speechless, looking at the guards that lied in a pool of blood. "What is it princess? Never seen a dead man before?", Dark had a smug look on his face as he put a hand under her chin to turn her face to his. Zelda flinched away from his hold and looked into his gleaming crimson eyes. "You... that was your other form?", she looked to the side, still shocked over the event. "Yup, makes me even swifter than now. So you impressed or what?", he tilted his head, the smug look of his still plastered on his face. Zelda clicked her tongue in annoyance. "Anyway, weren't we supposed to get out of here? What if the guards come back.", she looked around the area. "Yeah you're right, even if killing is one of my favourite things to do, that crowd really tired me.", he spoke in a bitter tone and rolled his eyes. 'Really, you just killed two guards in a blink and that is what tires you.', Zelda thought to herself. Dark then walked up to the entrance of the bridge and started pulling it down.

"Well then my beloved princess.", Dark swiftly snaked his arm around her waist and hoisted her over his shoulder. "Shall we take our leave?", he smirked and started walking over the bridge to Hyrule Field. "H-hey! Let me down! I can walk myself!", Zelda squirmed and punched at his back, but it was no use. "Nah, I have you right where I want to."

After a while she gave up on struggling. 'Why must he be so strong', she inwardly cried as he continued walking in a certain direction. "Where are we going?", Zelda asked. "I feel like the woods would be a good start.", he answered, getting closer and closer to their location.

'Oh Link, please find me soon.', she thought desperately.
