Chapter Nine - Good Choice, Bad Choice

The Doctor's POV

After leaving Chloe I just sat there for a while wondering. I knew something was up from when I got that signal coming from her home. I found the watch but I didn't tell Chloe because I didn't know who she really was or if it was actually her that owned the watch so I hid it. Turned out that it was her that was the Time Lord, well Time Lady, after I searched up Chloe using the TARDIS.

After a while the TARDIS picked up a signal close to Chloe's flat and decided to check it out. The TARDIS knew exactly what it was, Time Lord technology meaning Chloe found the watch.

Anya's (Chloe) POV

I started breaking down on the spot. I didn't want to open the watch. Now I was stuck with all these stupid memories that I wanted to forget. I calmed down then thought about the good and bad of the situation. The pros were that I was me again and I could live normally again. The cons however were that I had all the bad memories that I wanted to forget and I didn't want the Doctor remembering me.

I walked out of the toilets and sat under the tree in the park. Everyone seemed happy and it was like a cloud was only over my head. Turns out the cloud wasn't just over my head and it started to rain. I stayed under my tree for a while just thinking. Come on I thought It's not that bad. How was I going to tell the Doctor about what I did? "You must be freezing." A voice said. I turned my head and the Doctor was there. "So must you." I laughed. He sat down next to me. He was soaked and so was I. He didn't seem to care either. The Doctor broke the silence between us by saying the worst possible thing he could have said at that time. "I know that you opened the watch." I just sighed. "Who are you?"

"My name is Anya."

"Pretty name." He didn't remember me! Phew... Wait. I didn't want this. I wanted him to remember me. What a change of thought in at least 10 minutes. "You don't remember me?"

"No. I must have seen you on Gallifrey somewhere." I held back my tears for too long and just burst. I was then pulled into a hug by the Doctor and I hugged back.

We went back to the TARDIS in silence. When we got into the box we left London and stood there in our soaked clothes. "Anything you want to say?" The Doctor asked. I shook my head.

"I'm going to get changed." I said and took my bag and went to my room and just simply laid on my bed for ages in my soaking wet clothes. I couldn't be sad because of my past but I was and that was me. I got changed and went back to the console room where the Doctor was smiling in some dry clothes. "Where to now?" He beamed. I smiled and was back to what I used to be, happy.
