I sighed as I finished straightening my hair. All I kept thinking about was, what Steve would say when I go round and what do I say for that matter, I don't like apologising, but he's my best friend. I really didn't want to go but I think it was me being nerves more then anything. Even though I don't really why. I took another look at my purple ripped jeans and white vest top before I headed to the door. I started walking down the corridor and the closer I got the more nerves I was. The walk felt like it was forever, but before I knew it I was at his door. I took a deep breath and was about to knock.
When someone from behind grabbed me by the waist and mouth.
Stevens point of view
I was pasting back and forth feeling anxious, where do I start when I talk to here, I'm sorry for what happened and for the mean things but I meant what I said about wanting to be with her. I sighed and looked at my clock. 'She should have been her by now' I thought, I sat down on my bed resting my elbows in my knees and running my hands through my hair.
"Please can all avengers report to the main conference room, as a matter of importance." I sighed, maybe I'll catch her after this meeting, she can't avoid me forever.
Everyone was sat in the conference room looking confused at why we were here, I noticed everyone but April was there which made me worry. I took a seat next to Natasha and Peter. Fury entered the room and stood at the end of the table. "Agents... Im sorry to say this... However not long after Romanoff, Barton and Steve returned from their mission Agent Barton was taken..... I'm assuming Ronan wasn't happy about us raiding the base" I felt my heart dropped, I looked around to see everyone was shocked, "Where is she?" I said.
"We don't know, but on our camera on the base it looks like she's left with you captain." Everyone looked at me confused, I shook my head, "I've been in my room this hole time, she was meeting me at eight and never showed" I explained.
"What about shape shifting?" Clint asked Peter "can his minions do that quill?" He added.
Petter shrugged, "I guess it's possible" he replied.
"This is the footage from earlier" Fury said as he walked over to his computer and pulled up the video footage.
She was stood outside a room and walked forward to knock, when one guy grabbed he by the mouth and the waist and the other one grabbed her legs. I could feel myself getting angry, not only has someone pretended to be me but the have kidnap April like that. When the video ended and we all remained silent before Clint broke it.
"What's the plan director" he asked.
"I'm not sure, we don't know much .... We don't know who took her or where she is." I sighed and sat back down.
"This must clearly be Ronan" Peter said. We all looked at him. "Think about it... Who else could pretend to be Steve and get through a high security building without a second thought... None of your agents have that ability" he added fighting his case, none seemed to be believing him.
"Yea, I mean it makes sense and who else wants the stone more then Ronan." Natasha added.
There was a minute of silence before Peter spoke again. "Oh my god, that's it." We all looked at him confused and walked closer to the table. "No one knows the stone better then Ronan... Which means he knows how to control it and if Aprils immortal.... He can't exactly kill her" Peter explained.
"What you suggesting?" Sam said crossing his arms.
"I'm suggesting... If he can't kill her he will be able to find a way to tap into the stone ....whilst it's in April" my eyes widened. 'If he hurts her, I will kill him' I thought to myself. "I'm going to kill that son of a bitch" Clint said standing up which sent his chair flying back, he then made his way towards the door. Sam put a hand on his chest to stop him.
"I know you want to kill him, believe me.... But we can't go in their all guns blazing.... We need a plan that isn't going to get April harmed or us killed." Sam said. Clint nodded in agreement. "What's the plan then cap" Clint said looking at me. I stood up and walked to the others. "We need to get Thor here so him and Peter can figure out the best way to attack Ronan since they know about him best, then whilst Tony is trying to track April... The rest of us will figure out a plan." Everyone nodded in agreement and left the conference room. I walked up to Clint who was still in the conference room.
"You ok Barton?" I asked him.
"I can't loose her Steve... She's the only family I have...chow am I meant to explain this to my children if it goes wrong" he said, I put my hand on his shoulder. "We will get her back".
Aprils point of view.
I hit the floor with a hard thud causing me to bang my head. He turned his back to me and slammed the cell door behind, I looked out the small panel in the door to see a hall with a couple of other cells, I stepped back and tried to use my telepathy to contact someone, but I couldn't get anything, not even whispers. I put my hand to my head to feel blood. I sighed and sat on a metal bench in my cell. I thought about Steve and how he will hate me even more for not showing up.... What if they don't realise I'm gone. I was pulled from my thoughts when I heard a clang from the other side of the metal door, which the opened. I notice a large blue man walk in, it wasn't Ronan but looked similar.
"What do you want from me?" I questioned him with a blank expression
"Ronan wants the stone... And since its in you, we are going to use you as a weapon" he stated and smirked and walked close to me. "And since you blew up half our army and the place with it.... Ronan might want to experiment first" he continued as he brushed his hand on my cheek and laughed as he started to leave.
"They will find me you know.... And you will dye.... Ronan may have an army... But I have the avengers and Starlord, so good look with that" I told him and laughed, he shot my in the stomach with a weird lucking gun and I fell to the ground. He slammed the cell shut and left.
"Stupid alien" I said to myself as I winched in pain, I slumped against the wall and rolled my top up. I put my thumb
and index finger into the open wound and pulled out the bullet. I threw the bullet across the cell and led there until I healed. I needed to get out of here, they would torture me, let me reheat and do it again and again. I need an escape plan fast.
Stevens point of view
"So let's go through the plan again... Tony and Sam are going to be our eyes in the sky, whilst me, you and Peter go head on, which will bring all the attention to us, leaving Natasha and Thor time to find April." I explained, Clint nodded.
"Then we go for Ronan?" He asked.
"Yes, quill knows him best.... He's taken him on before so we can follow his lead... He's coming up with a plan and will explain it to us once we are on the jet to where ever Ronan is" i explained as i sat back in my chairs.
"Good plan... Let's hope we can pull it off" Clint said standing up and walking towards the window.
"We will... Im not leaving until he's dead and we have April" I explained, Clint let out a slight laugh and turned to me leaning on the window sill.
"You really love my sister don't you?" He said. I looked over at him.
"She's not just my best friend Clint" I told him, he smiled.
"I know.... She'll come round" he said, I sighed and smiled to myself,
"I hope so" I replied to hi, as I stood up and walked towards the door.
"We should go tell the others." I said walking to the door with Clint following closely behind.
"If you find Sam and Natasha.... I will and Peter and meet at Starks lab.... Tell them to suit up.... As soon as we find April we are out of here" he turned left down a different corridor and I carried on to get changed before finding the guys.
I was determined to bring back April.
