Mary's POV

I was packing Samantha's lunch for school. We didn't have much time so I just made a simple peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a bag of chips and a bottle of water. I was all done with her lunch and she was still trying to decide what to wear.
"Samantha do you want to be late for school?"
"But mom I don't know what to wear!"
"Just pick out whatever and let's go we only have 20 minutes left!"
This gets on my nerves. Last year she was late she missed half of the introduction.
   "Does this look good mom?"
" It looks beautiful now go put your shoes on and hop in the car."
I took my car keys and my purse and went out the door.
When I was in the car I found  Samantha crying.
"Everything is going to be alright Samantha you're going to make some good friends. So don't worry too much okay?"
   " I know but I'm so scared!"
" Look its going to be fine."
As I was driving I noticed that Samantha's face was kind of pale. Of course she wasn't feeling well but I knew this was because she was nervous. She'll be alright.
We were finally here and Samantha started to panic.
"Mom! Please I don't want to!"
"Samantha what did we just talk about in the car?"
   "But mom!"
I just took her hand and forced her inside. The principal asked for her name and told her what classroom she was in.
"Have a good day at school Samantha. You'll make friends I'm sure." I gave her a sweet smile and a kiss on her forehead. I gave her her lunch bag and then left. Hopefully her teacher wouldn't call me and ask me to take her home like last year.

Samantha's POV
I wanted to run away. Can I run away? No I wont. I'll get in trouble and they're going to call my mom and then she would be angry at me. As I got closer and closer to the classroom I felt my heart beat fast. I was finally there just outside the classroom. I just wanted to turn back and run to my mom. Okay Samantha! You can do it! Finally I just went in and all eyes were on me. There was a silence for just a few seconds. That's when the teacher said
"Hello you must be Samantha yes?"
         I just nodded.
"Great! You can sit next to Jason! Jason raise your hand please so she knows who you are."
The boy named Jason raised his hand.
"You can go sit down next to him Samantha," she said smiling.
I walked like a snail and it took me a minute to walk to my seat and sit down.
"Well that's everyone! Welcome 215 to another school year! This year is going to be a very exciting year! I look forward to this year and I hope everyone is too! So were going to play a little game that way we can all learn everyone's name!
   "Yay!" Everyone yelled.
So everybody got out of there seat and ran to sit down on the carpet.
"Guys don't run! You don't want to hurt anyone do you?"
"No," said the kids. So I got up from my seat and walked over to the rug only to find there was no more space left. But then I saw Jason wave at me. So I walked to him and he scooted  over so I could sit.
"Thanks," I whispered. He justed smiled at me.
After our game we decided to play other fun stuff like bored games, computer games, read books or just sit in seats and talk with the person sitting next to us. I just decided to sit with Jason. We didn't really do much but every once and a while I would stare at him and he would catch me. So I just sat there once again not doing anything. But then he asked me something.
"Want to sit with me at lunch?" He asked.
