We finally got back out of the forest and to the parking lot at the restaurant with our cars at around 6, and we all decided we should go home and rest up. We were planning on trying to get to her tomorrow. I waved goodbye to everyone as I stepped into my car. As I buckled my seatbelt I saw Lilith and Henry leave. Right as I turned the ignition, Brian came and knocked on my window. I unrolled it and smiled at him. "What do you want, Kentucky?" I asked sweetly. And for once, no sarcasm.
"I just thought I should escort you home," he replied.
"Brian, you don't need to escort me home, if anything, I should escort you home. Now get in, we're going to drop you off at your house," I said.
"You mean the one that I can literally see across the street?"
"Yes," I replied, "Now get in, we're going."
"Fine," he smiled. He walked around the front of the car and hopped into the seat next to me. I pulled out of the parking lot and drove across the street and parked in his driveway.
"Now, you can go, Kentucky," I smiled.
"Not before a good night kiss," he replied. He leaned forward and kissed me softly on the lips, leaving a smile on my face.
"I really like you," I said to him.
"I really like you too," he smiled, kissing me again. I kissed his cheek once and he just sat there grinning at me like the Cheshire Cat.
"What?" I asked.
"If only you knew," he said, leaving me confused.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Don't worry about it," he smiled, kissing me again.
"Sometimes I feel you're too nice to me," I said.
"Too nice? Is that even possible?" He asked.
"It is," I smiled, "Like when you insist to take me home."
"Like right now?" He smiled. He grabbed me at the waist and pulled me over onto his lap. He slid over into the driver's seat and placed me in the passenger's seat.
"Seriously?" I laughed. (A/N The song Serious, from Legally Blonde the musical, anyone?😉)
"Seriously," he smiled. He turned on the car and pulled out of the driveway and started up the road.
"My mom's gonna start thinking that I'm crazy for always letting you drive me around," I said.
"Well, I don't mind," he said, "I just want to make sure that you're safe." That last line sounded like less of a cutesy flirty 'safe' and more like a you're actually in grave danger 'safe'.
"Okay," I said, now sensing his serious mood. "Well, I am safe, you don't have to worry about me."
"Again, if only you really knew," he smirked.
"Can you please stop saying that or explain to me what it means? I am seriously getting tired of it."(A/N I'm sorry for all the 'Serious'ness😂I'm on a roll today😎)
"Okay, Washington," he said, leaning over and kissing my cheek, "Anyway, we're here now." He parked the car in my driveway, but as soon as I tried to get out, he pulled me closer to him.
"What is it?" I asked, seeing real seriousness in his eyes. He just leaned in and kissed me. He broke it off and just smiled at me.
"I really like you, Washington."
"I really like you, Kentucky."
