"Aubs! It's time for work." I groaned and rolled over before shuffling over to the bathroom across my small house to fix my face. My hair was still in a ponytail from cheer the day before, so I pulled it out and put in a messy bun. I washed my face and brushed my teeth before putting on a little makeup and going into my room to pick something to wear. I decided on flip flops, black shorts, and my cheer jacket. Before sitting on the couch and scrolling through my Instagram feed while I waited for my mom to be ready.
After we left I just sat in the hotel parking lot since my mother made me wait outside until her jack ass co-worker left. Quite honestly I don't really care how much of a jack-ass she is. I just wanna be in the warm indoors with free wifi, but maybe that's just me.
I felt my stomach rumble and tried my best to ignore it. 'It's okay, Aubrey. You don't need to eat today' I kept telling myself as I tightened my thin jacket tighter around my waist.

After work my co-worker, Annabelle offered Jazzy and I a ride. Being that Annabelle and Jazzy were adults and I was not, I was forced to sit in the back amongst clothes and children's toys. After Annabelle pulled into my driveway I quickly thanked her and walked into my small home. Like everyday, I went straight into the bathroom to weigh myself. 225.5 lbs. Thats half a pound less than yesterday. I quick took a picture of myself in the mirror and added it to my weight loss album that I keep on my phone. I grabbed a quick rice cake from my room and sat on the couch when Parker and David tumbled into the living room and sat down in the old recliners.
"What are you eating?" Parker asked cocking an eyebrow at the rice cake I held in my hand.
"It's a rice cake." I mumbled pulling my phone out and texting my friend Jay.
"Yeah she's vegetarian." David muttered, throwing the socks he just took off his feet at the cat I got for my 13th birthday, Jinx.
"Being vegetarian has nothing to do with rice cakes." I said, finishing the rest and taking a swig from my water bottle that I carry with me everywhere.
"Wait. You're vegetarian?!" Parker said, getting up to follow my brother out the front door.
"Yeah. So?"
"You're crazy." He muttered, shaking his head and leaving me sitting there alone. I sat back and thought, while I listened to the gunshots from David's and Parker's gun practice. People think I'm crazy for not eating meat? You should what goes on inside my head.~~
"Aubrey!" I heard David's voice boom across the house from the front door.
"Yeah?" I yelled sitting up and stretching my arms above my head from sitting for too long. David and Parker appeared in the doorway of the living room, each one leaning on a different side."Parker and I were thinking about headin' into town for somethin' to drink. Wanna come with?"
"Better than what I'm doing here." I muttered going over to my room and grabbing a stack of cash from my last paycheck. I said good-bye to Jinx and slipped on my flip flops before heading out the door.Since Parker had a truck they decided to cram me in the way back. Which was fine by me. After David and Parker stopped at the gas station and bought a 24 pack of Moutain Dew, and a bag of pepperoni combos we were on our way home when we passed the bar.
"Hey! Look! Colton's there!"
Sure enough, our neighbors rusty red truck was sitting in the bar parking lot."Let's go say hi! You don't mind if we go in and say hi real quick, do yah?" Parker said, looking in the rear view mirror.
"I don't mind." I scrambled out of the back of the truck and walked side by side with David. We probably looked so stupid right then. Three teenagers walking into a bar. We looked around and spotted Colton before walking over and sitting beside him on the bar stool. Colton next to David, David next to Parker, and Parker next to me.
"Anything I can get you folks?" Smiled a shy looking waitress. She had her long chocolate brown hair pulled down in a braid and around one of her beautiful deep brown eyes was a bruise.Little things like that make me wonder what other people's lives are like behind closed doors. Some worse than mine, and some worse than hers.
"Mello yellow." David said
" I don't have any money." Parker whispered to David.
" Neither do I, but Aubrey has her whole paycheck with her so she'll just pay." David said, looking at me with pleading eyes.
"Okay, Mello yellow." Parker said, glancing over at me and giving his request to the waitress.
"Same." I muttered.
Great. Now a chunk of my paycheck was going towards pop for David and his friends. I slid over my money to the waitress and just sat while my brother talked to his friends.Every once in a while Parker would make small conversation with me, but other than that my only communication was typing on my phone. After Parker and David were done with their third glass I had only taken a couple sips of mine, considering I'm not even a fan of soda.
"Will you finish that so we can leave?" David groaned. Colton had already left, and since Parker had been basically living at my house for the past week, David and Parker would rather go mudding than sit in a bar.
"I'm done with it anyways..." I said, sliding the pop over to the bartenders side, and walking out with them trailing behind me.~~
I arrived home feeling horrible about myself. The whole way home David and Parker were talking about some hot thin girl they saw walk in the bar right before we left.
I wish I was thin.
I wish guys would talk about me in that way...I walked into my room and took off my jacket so I was just wearing a tank top and shorts. I went and did 60 push ups, 60 leg lifts, 60 squats, then 60 squat calf raises. It was good enough to make my legs feel like jello after.
