Chapter 1: A Great Start

When Natsu woke up he shot up right out of bed-- "Happy!"

"Ugh..... What?" Happy groaned as he rolled over in his hammock.

"Get up-- it's time to go on a job!"

"But...... We just got back yesterday"--

"Come on Happy!" Natsu grabbed Happy by his little green backpack and started running right out of the house and towards the guild. "More jobs mean more money-- which means more food!"

"I don't care!" Happy yelled.

"Aaaaaaand more fish!" Happy spread his wings out and flew ahead.

"Fiiiiiiiiisshhh!" Happy exclaimed.

Natsu smirked as he and Happy raced on-- just when they were within a yard of the guild...... "No!!!"

Sting came from out of nowhere and stopped Natsu in his tracks. "Hey!" He yelled as Happy continued to the guild. "What are you doing here Sting?"

"Natsu-san, we got a big problem". Sting explained as Rogue and Gajeel joined them. "You and the rest of us can't be around any women at all until this is over".

"Until what's over?" Natsu questioned.

Sting leaned in. "Mating. Season".

"........................". Natsu had to wait for what was Sting was saying to sink in. "........... What?!"

"Are you deaf?" Gajeel mumbled.

"None of us can be around anyone from the opposite sex, we don't know who our mates are so we can't take any risks". Rogue explained. "Well..... Sting knows who his mate is, that's how we found out that the season has started".

"Shut up!" Sting yelled.

"Who is it?" Natsu asked. "Wait lemme guess-- Yukino?"

"Shut the fuck up!" Sting snapped.

"Wait so what happens?" Natsu asked.

Sting sighed. "Well I might as well tell you-- when I smelled her I kinda...... Started to get a hard-on and then my first instinct was to hug her but I turned around and ran to get Rogue". He said the last part super fast as his face went red.

"Well damn we can't even smell whoever our mate is?" Gajeel questioned. "Wait what about Laxus and Wendy?"

"Laxus is older then us which means he's probably already gone through mating season before-- so he probably knows". Rogue explained. "And Wendy's not going to go through mating season until she's about our age".

"So it's just us-- what the hell?" Natsu questioned. "This is going to suck-- wait I need to do jobs to buy food!"

"Well you're going to have to find another way to get food". Sting told him.

"Ugh!" He whined. "I'm going to go to Lucy's and eat her food"--

Sting grabbed him by his scarf. "Are you an idiot-- I just said to stay away from the opposite sex didn't I?!"

"That includes my teammate?" Natsu questioned. They all just looked at him with are you freaking me faces. "Is that a no?"

"That would be a hell no!" Gajeel snapped.

"We are all going over to Gajeel's place to hide out". Rogue said. "Sting left Rufus in charge back at Sabertooth, so we are good to stay until the season's over".

"How long does this last for?" He asked.

"About two to four weeks". Sting told him.

"Are you kidding me?!" Natsu exclaimed. "I can't wait that long I got to work"-- Natsu clammed up all of the sudden.
