Chapter 1

Avery's POV
I pull up to my girlfriends' apartment with flowers and Starbucks. I take my key and unlock the door. "Madison? It's Me. You up?" I go to her bedroom and see her cuddled up in my hoodie with the teddy bear I gave her. I then giggle and lay next to her and kiss her softly. "Baby wake up".  She slowly stirs in her sleep, "Maddie wake up" I whisper, kissing her . "Hmm?" She murmurs sleepily. I continue kissing her. "Avery.. What are you doing here?" She mumbles "I am here because I have the day off." "I brought you Starbucks and Flowers my love" I put the Starbucks on the nightstand and straddle her waist "Avery. I'm not in the mood.." she says grumpily "Maddie.. come on baby.." I kiss her "Babe. It is too early for this.." She mumbled burying her face in the pillow. "Well get up, you have the interview today" I whisper, smiling "Ugh, do I have to go?" She whines as she stretches in bed. "Yes, you have to go You've wanted this for so long!" I say handing her the coffee "Yeah I know.. But I wanna stay in bed" she pouts then takes a sip of her drink. I roll my eyes "Baby stop being lazy, You're gonna be late." She gets up, "Okay well I have to shower so, move your booty out of my bedroom." She says while  looking at the door.

Maddie has always had an issue with her body. I've never known what exactly but I've never pushed her to tell me. "Oh um okay I'll be in the living room" I said awkwardly as I walked out of the room.

Maddie's POV
I walk to the door, locking it and taking a deep breath. I undress, looking in the mirror. "God, I look horrible. How does she love me?" I think to myself as I go take a shower. After 15 minutes I get out of the shower, get dressed and unlock the door, walking over to my gorgeous girlfriend. "Okay, baby I'm ready to go." She looks down at me smiling, and since there is a 4 or 5-inch height difference between us I lean up on my tippy toes and peck her lips, smiling at her. "You ready to go?" I ask and she nods. We leave my apartment heading to the college of my dreams. God, I hope I get in. "I've worked my ass off to get this interview." I thought to myself as we got in the car. "Maddie you okay?" Avery asked glancing at me. "Yeah I'm fine. My anxiety is just kicking in. I should be okay." I look Down, biting my lip. She grabs my hand and kisses it softly. "Baby you're gonna do great, just don't stress it." I smile at her and take a deep breath. The rest of the of the car ride was silent. We pulled up at Cornell University and I felt my heart drop into my stomach. "This is actually happening.." I took a deep breath and stepped out of the car. Avery took my hand in hers. "You are gonna do great, baby girl. Make me proud Okay? I'll be back to pick you up in an hour then we'll go grab something to eat." She said happily before pulling me into a kiss. I felt butterflies explode in my stomach. She has no idea what effect she has on me. God, I love her. I walk up to the doors of the school. "Well here goes nothing.." I say and walk to administration.
