Chapter 20. Weeks later.
Joy POV.
I was broken, some days I would just lay in Bed crying for no reason. Losing a baby is like losing a part of you, and no one understood that not even Elvis.
"Baby, come to bed." Elvis whispers, kissing my bare shoulder.
It was past midnight.
"Please, it's late." Elvis pleaded.
I ignored him, Elvis gently picked me up. I sobbed hard into his chest.
"Shhhh... I know baby. I know". Elvis cooed.
"It hurts, It hurts so bad." I cried.
Elvis laied next to me, only in his boxers. Elvis gently stroked my thigh.
"This baby was supposed to be a new start. And I ruined that." I spoke, Elvis was silence.
"No, don't say that. It's not your fault..... It's- It's not anybody's fault." He whispered closely.
"When... You lose a baby, it feels like you've lost part of yourself." I replied.
"We'll get through this, we always do." Elvis whispers.
Narrator POV.
Days, past. Weeks past. Months past. The news of the baby spread like wildfire, news reports swarmed front of Graceland.
"Daddy! A man is here to ask you and mommy questions!!" Amelia ran through the living room, grinning.
"Elvis, I'm not sure about this." Joy frowned.
Elvis sighed, kissing joy's cheek.
"Dont worry about a thing, babydoll." Elvis smirked, stroking her cheek.
Moments later, reports swarmed inside of Graceland. Joy was overwhelmed with how many actually cared.
"Mr. Presley, when's your next your!"
"When are you going back I the music business?!?"
"Are you planning on having more children!?!?!?"
Elvis answered most of the questions, Joy just sat next to Elvis holding his hand tightly.
"Well, that was something." Elvis scratched the back of his neck.
Joy puffed, flopping down on the Bed.
"Do you think, If I never went to your concert. I would have never meet you?" Joy wondered.
It was pitch black, they both held each other.
"Baby, you don't think that...... Do you?" Elvis questioned.
Joy was silence for awhile before she spoke.
"Of course I do, if I haven't ran away from Home.... I'd still be in my horrible house." Joy cried.
"No, baby. No. Don't say that."Elvis sighed.
The rest of the night, they kept silence.
