More Than Just Friends

A day in paradise gone wrong.

You can't believe this is actually happening! You're so excited you feel like you're about to explode! You can't thank him enough for inviting you on this trip with him! "Thanks again." You tell Zach.
He smiles that adorable crooked smile of his. "No need to thank me. I knew you love dinosaurs! What better place to see them than Jurassic World?"
You can't believe how attractive you're starting to find him. No. You shake your head. You can't think of him like that, nothing will come of it.
"So remind me again why we are waiting in this giant ass line?" He asks looking at the fifty or so people that are in of you.
"It's not fair to cut."
"But my Aunt Claire gave us VIP passes and even took Gray in so we can hang out alone. We aren't going to get much done if we wait in line the whole day."
Damn. He's persuasive. "Okay okay. But you lead. That way you look like the jerk and not me!"
He shakes his head and smiles again, taking your hand. "If that's what it takes!" He starts pulling you through the crowd of people. Ignoring the tingling sensation crawling up your arm from his touch, you apologize all the way to the front of the VIP line. You stare as a Gyrosphere ball comes near.
"Are you sure that thing is safe against a gazillion ton animal?"
"Totally! We'll be safe!" He says and helps you into your seat. "Want to control it."
You shake your head. "Nope. No way." There's no way you are driving a futuristic thing like this.
"Okay." And then you guys are off. And before you know it you're all alone together. "So are you excited?"
"Making small talk? Really, Zach?" You roll your eyes and glare at him. You're kidding but, you still like to give him hell every once in a while. "We've been friends for like 6 years now."
"Eight." He corrects you. "Close."
"Oh shut up!" You laugh and playfully slap him on the arm.
"Ouch!" He says and makes a fake pain face.
"Where are the dinosaurs?!" You can't hide your excitement. You do love dinosaurs. You even want a job here but, you have to be 18 for that. Just two more years to go!
"There!" He points. "A herd of...of...."
"Triceratops!!" You stare at them in awe. "You can't tell me you don't even know what a triceratops looks like, Zach." You scold him without taking your eyes off the herd.
"I'm not a dinosaur guy," he shrugs, "what can I say?"
Suddenly the Triceratops spook and start to run. "....I mean it's not my fault..." Zach rambles on.
"Zach."
"I just never found them cool. You know. Them being extinct and all that...."
"Zach."
"But. Now they're real! And I'm a little more into th-"
"Zach!"
"What?"
"We should head back."
"Why? Aren't you having fun?" he looks hurt.
"Something scared them."
"What do you-" Zach starts but he's cut off by a loud roar behind us.
Slowly we both turn around and look. Both of us stop breathing. "Holy shit." He whispers. "What is that."
