He Was Never Mine (ON HOLD)

Chapter 1

"Sorry Cheyenne I can't this weekend" Adrian replied pitying me and walked away. Another rejection I'm tired of getting the courage to ask someone out to get rejected over and over again. It's Friday so I decided to not think much about it.

I walked down the hallways by myself like I would usually, stopping at my locker and shoving my books away. Grabbing my bag I started walking home while checking Facebook. Nick Carson was his name I checked his profile and found out he lived near me, he is 19 years old and good looking, he had friended me on Facebook. My notifications went off alerting me I had a message from Facebook from Nick.

-hey whats up?

I replied.

-nothing much, what about you?

A few minutes later I got a reply,

-nothing really important :)

I laughed at the fact he put the cute little smilie face at the end. He messaged me again.

-tell me about yourself I'm curious

I replied

-maybe another time i have homework i need to finish, sorry :(

I shoved my phone back into my bag and rang the doorbell to my home, I had a simple two story house painted white with a dark roof. I didn't live far away from the school, just a few blocks. Cheryl my younger sister opened the door and let me in.

"Mum's out grocery shopping and wants you to start your homework," Cheryl told me while going back to watch TV in the living room.

I walked up to my room which has dull cream coloured walls, fitted with a small bed and a desk full of books and papers scattered everywhere. I always worked hard for my grades and didn't go out much since I didn't have friends but thats okay, I always had my friends on Facebook. I sat down on my desk turning on my laptop to Facebook, I had a message from Nick.

-okay :(

I smiled and replied to him.

-i wish i could though

I closed my laptop and placed it on my bed so it wouldn't distract me from my homework. I had a chemistry exam coming up and I wanted to be prepared.

After about an hour of studying Cheryl called me down for dinner.

"How was school Chey?" Cheryl questioned while setting the table.

"The usually, how about you Cher?" I replied laughing at how similar and different our names were.

"Ugh it was boring as always," Cheryl and I started laughing, we were unusually close for sisters we never really fought or argued. Cheryl was the complete opposite of me though, she always has people around her admiring her. I don't really envy her I just try to support her like she supports me.

"Dad's not coming home is he?" Cheryl asks upset, the whole room goes quiet.

"No sweetheart he isn't," Mum replied sadly. Dad never really came home, he was too busy with work but always had time to go out to drink.

After dinner was done I jumped back upstairs back into my room shutting the door behind me. Laying on my bed I opened my laptop to see Nick has messaged me four times.

-please cheyyyyyyyyyyy

I smiled at how cute he was, I assumed he checked my Facebook page because he knew my name already and nickname. I replied quickly.

-hey :)

My heart was pounding at how cute he was. I made up my mind, he is my prince charming I've waited for. A notification sound interrupted my thoughts, it was from Nick.

-i think we should meet up, trying to type everything about ourselves is troublesome :(

Did Nick just ask me out? I told myself I wasn't going to jump to conclusions so quickly but inside I knew my heart was fluttering. I replied.

-yeah lets meet at the cafe downtown tomorrow at 2pm :)

Nick replied within a second.

-sounds good to me, see ya tomorrow chey ;)

Ahhhhhh he put a winky face. Nick sent another message.

-anyways goodnight

I was kinda upset he was leaving but I would be able to meet him tomorrow anyways, this made my heart jump. I replied quickly before he left.

I shut my laptop, I flopped on my bed and dreamed about Nick, I was finally happy to get a chance with someone.
