One argument. That's all it took. Just one simple petty argument and their whole relationship went up in flames. Well it wasn't much of one. Danny and Laura never made anything.... Well official, but they were something. Everyone could see it, and it hurt even worse once it ended. All because Laura wanted to keep making her broadcasts and Will had to let Carmilla go. The last one wasn't Laura's fault, but still it all happened so fast.

For the past few days Laura has done nothing but mope around and it's starting to get on her roommate Carmilla's nerves. Although Carmilla does feel sorry for the smaller girl. You could even say that Carmilla was happythat Laura and Danny weren't a 'thing' anymore. Don't ask her why though because she could possibly eat you, and not the good kind. Today would mark the third day of Laura moping around  and Carmilla is starting to get worried. Laura hasn't went to any of her classes, she stays in bed, and all she does is eat and drink whatever Perry makes her. The only time Laura is ever out of her bed is to use the bathroom.

"Cupcake you can't keep doing this. You have to get out of bed and go to classes." Carmilla tries talking Laura out of the fetal position that the smaller girl is currently in on her bed. Laura slightly turns her head to face the vampire and Carmilla could tell that she had been crying, which almost makes her want to cry. Almost. Laura's eyes are all puffy and red and it makes Carmilla want to reach out and hold her. Of course she doesn't though. I mean Laura just ended something with someone, so now is not the time to show her that you're into her. "You know the least you can do is talk to me instead of staring at me like that." Laura says sounding extremely annoyed.

"Look why don't you get up and write your term paper and just try and forget about this whole thing." Carmilla says while taking a step closer. Laura scoffs and throws her head back on the pillow. "That's easy for you to say. You never liked Danny anyways."

"That is true, but I ha- I mean seeing you this way isn't the best sight ever."

"Thanks. I needed that boost." Laura says sarcastically before placing her arm over her face.

"Cupcake come on." Laura doesn't say anything instead it seems as though she's drifted off to sleep.

(A few hours later)

"No please, Danny don't. Come back." Carmilla wakes with a start as she hears her roommate talking in her sleep. Carmilla does the one thing she can think of and that's try and comfort her. So she gets up and walk over to Laura's bed. Slowly and carefully she gets under the covers with Laura and wraps her arms around the other girl.

After a while Laura eases up into Carmilla's touch and even holds Carmilla's arms around her. Carmilla smiles and takes in this moment, because that's all what you do when you have your crush in your arms, right? Pretty soon both girls have drifted off to sleep.

Ironically Carmilla was the first one up. Laura is still asleep so Carmilla figures that she could do something nice for her. "Why are you acting so out of character Carm? She's only a girl." Carmilla asks herself while making hot chocolate and grabbing an emergency cookie box for Laura. Carmilla even decides to get her a glass of blood. I mean why wouldn't she. She's a vampire right? So she places the hot chocolate, cookies and blood on Laura's computer desk. She even wrote Laura a little note and then it was off for a shower.

Carmilla was just starting to dry her hair out when she heard a scream coming from the other room. With only a towel around her torso she runs out and sees the cause of it. Laura grabbed the wrong mug and drank some of the blood that Carmilla left out. "Are you okay cutie?" Carmilla asks her while placing a hand on Laura's back. Through coughs Laura says, "Yeah. Just peachie. Why would you put that on my desk?" Laura asks sounding a bit mad.

"I didn't think you'd be up so soon. Besides I didn't think you would drink it." Both girls look at each other and then they start to laugh. Carmilla looks at Laura, once they finished laughing, with a smirk on her face. "What?" Laura asks still kind of laughing.

"Nothing. Just... I missed that." Carmilla says. Laura smiles and it looks like she's began to blush.

"Why are you being so nice all of a sudden? I mean two days ago you hated me."

"I didn't hate you. Strongly dislike is the word I would use. Besides people change and you're really a bummer when you're sad."

"Well that's the point of being sad. You're not supposed to make good company." Carmilla half smirks and goes back into the bathroom, "Whatever you say cupcake."

(3 days later)

Surprisingly Carmilla is still being nice to Laura, and it's now become a thing for Carmilla to sleep in Laura's bed. That's not weird though right? Like people who are friends can cuddle, right? Carmilla doesn't speak much of it but Laura seems to think that she and Carmilla may have some chemistry. Like romantic chemistry. It's weird to say, but Laura actually likes the idea of her being with Carm. Even though she is a vampire that could easily kill you if you ever crossed her. Laura was going to talk to her about it, and tonight was the night. After all it was movie night.

So there they sat on Laura's bed watching some random movie that the found on Netflix and the whole time Laura felt as though Carmilla was looking at her every so often. Although Laura was doing the same thing. Halfway though Laura decided to say something, "Um Carm?"

"Yes creampuff?" The brooding vampire asked.

"Have you had the same feelings for someone else as you had for Ell?" Laura asked. Carmilla closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"For years no. Until very recently." Laura could tell that their faces were growing closer, and closer together.

"Is that so?"

"Yes. Why do you ask?" Carmilla backs up her face and Laura can't believe that she feels disappointed.

"Because I'm starting to have feelings for someone."

"You say that as though it pains you to say it."

"Well it's just that I don't know how they feel about me and I'm scared."

"Of what? Rejection?"

"Yes."

"Creampuff you shouldn't worry about that."

"Why do you say that?"

"Because I'm sure they like you right back, or maybe even a little bit more." There was no stopping how closer their faces were now. This felt right. And then it happened their lips connected. Either one of them wanted the kiss to stop and once it did both of their chests were rising and falling heavily. Mostly Laura's though. They kiss again and Carmilla presses her forehead to Laura's, "So I'm guessing this changes something's." Laura says. Carmilla starts laughing and they go back to watching the film. The whole time their fingers were intertwined together.
