Chapter 1: Mixed Emotions

Caroline and Nikki were excited to go to a week at summer camp! They were both going in different cars, but were texting each other happily. Caroline was also texting Zack and he said he had a huge surprise for her, but couldn't tell.

"Nikki!" Caroline screamed running to her and hugged her tightly. "Hey!" Nikki smiled, but Caroline knew she still was thinking about Spencer. "Finally, a week just to hang with my BFF! No boys!" Nikki said happily.
"Zack said he had a huge surprise for me!" Caroline squealed happily. Nikki smiled "That's so sweet of him!"
"I know! I wish Spencer wasn't such a jerk," Caroline said. Nikki nodded "Don't bring him up. I don't even want to talk about him." Caroline eyes widened "Um, Nikki don't turn around..."
"What wh-"

Spencer and Zack where talking. Caroline ran to Zack's arms. "Zack!"
"Hey babe!" Zack kissed her. "Spencer," Caroline said dryly. "Hey Caroline," he replied quietly. Nikki turned around angrily. Caroline was whispering to Zack and Spencer. "Anyway! Nikki come over here!" Caroline whined. "Nope, I'm good," she replied rudely.

Spencer who sighed, walked up to Nikki.
"Nikki can I explain myself!" She shook her head. Now Zack came "Nikki, he came here for you!" Nikki's eyes went wide. "Still! You shouldn't have been so jealous!"
"I know! Please forgive me!" Spencer begged.
"I can't just yet." Nikki crossed her arms over her chest and walked towards the camper check-in area.

After the girls registered, they went to find their cabin. The girls had been put in the same cabin and they were really happy. They met the other girls in their cabin. A few unexpected, familiar faces were in their cabin. Caroline whispered to Nikki. "Oh crap! It's Anna and Alex!" Anna gave an evil glare to Nikki and Alex ignored her. Just great, Nikki thought, The two girls I hate the most are in my cabin.

Nikki and Caroline shared a bunk and unloaded their luggage. Caroline would sleep on the top and Nikki on the bottom. When the girls finished unpacking, they went to visit Zack's cabin. Caroline knocked on the door with Nikki behind her. The counselor opened the door. "Can I come in? I'm Zack's girlfriend," Caroline said. "Yeah sure," the counselor said . "Hey Zack! The love of your life is here!" The counselor said to Zack laughing.

Caroline and Nikki walked in to see Zack smiling. They also saw another familiar face. Not Aiden, Nikki thought. Aiden was standing there shirtless with an evil grin plastered across his face.

"Wow...Okay then," Nikki said as she covered her face. "I wonder why the girls can't come in the boys cabin?" Caroline rolled her eyes.
"Do you mind not disgusting my friend?" Caroline said harshly. "Hmm. I'll have to think about that," he said and then continued, "Nope."
Spencer who just shrugged looked at Caroline. "Calm down Caroline, if your going to be in our cabin there's going to be shirtless boys."
Nikki didn't look at him and just walked out. Caroline kissed Zack's cheek and walked out.

Later, Nikki trailed behind the happy couple after dinner, walking down the hill. They kissed, hugged, and more of that cute couple stuff that would make Nikki happy, but only made her think of yelling at Spencer.

Nikki and Caroline went into their cabins and decided what to do next. "Let's go play cards with a few boys from Zack's cabin outside on that table," Caroline suggested to Nikki.
Nikki replied,"I don't know if that's a good idea." Caroline gave a sad look at Nikki. "Fine! Let's go," Nikki said forcefully.

They asked a few boys in Zack's cabin and of course, Aiden wanted to crash the party.

There they were, Caroline, Nikki, Spencer, Zack, Aiden, Alex, and sadly Anna were all sitting on the table outside. Zack was shuffling the cards. "What do you guys wanna play?" Zack asked. Everyone yelled a bunch of card games. "Let's play B.S!" Spencer suggested.

Everybody agreed. Zack passed out the cards. They had a fair game and it was surprisingly really fun. It was getting late and the deans told them to go back to their cabins. "See you guys tomorrow," Caroline said. Everybody was very happy. This was a good start to a week at camp, Nikki thought. Little did she know, it was about to get dramatic.

Campfire was the girls' part of camp. Where they sit by a campfire with the whole camp. There's skits, songs, dances, and other really funny things. Nikki didn't want anyone to ruin this for her. Caroline and Zack sat next to each other while Nikki went to sit next to her other friends from her cabin. Caroline sighed and thought of Nikki, She's never going to hang with me if I'm always with Zack. She continued to think, But I see Nikki every basketball practice and I see Zack like twice a year. She decided to not worry anymore and spend time with the one she truly loves.

Nikki, who seemed to be enjoying the campfire felt a warm hand interlock with hers. Spencer, she thought. "What now Spencer?" She said harshly. "I love you, please Nikki!" Nikki walked away and sat somewhere else. She left Spencer sitting alone.

Nikki enjoyed the campfire and had fun. After it was done, her counselors took her and the rest the girls back to their cabin. Everyone got to know each other and bond. Even when it was time for lights out, they kept talking and laughing. This is going to go well, Nikki thought happily.
