The problem with taking care of a bipolar maniac who had a bad habit of killing anything or one he wanted: it made maintaining a proper social life a little more than challenging. But, Festus Murdock was more than up for it.

You may be wondering why on earth would Festus be doing such a thing. It's a big of a long story, but to sum it up... He'd found a kid a year or so younger than him, who'd just escaped an illegal branch of a group of scientists. Apparently, they had run out of lab rats and resorted to snatching children right off the streets. The boy Festus had found had been one of them. He called himself 'Андрей', which roughly translated into Andrei. The poor kid had been covered in blood, and of course Festus had to have pity on him and offered to give him a place to stay. This had quickly become a more permanent arrangement, as Andrei was extremely unstable because of the experiments done to him.

So, yeah, it was a bit difficult to keep in touch with everyone.

Festus didn't really mind. Andrei needed him, even if he didn't know it. And it felt good to be needed. Real good.

Even if Andrei did attack him a few times.

The weird thing was, it was clear the younger boy had great affection and appreciation for Festus(at least in some moods)- he just didn't know how to properly show it. It would seem not everyone took a pile of severed limbs as a 'thank you'.

Although Andrei had lost his mind, Festus was as gentle and caring as a mother to a sick child. Which, in a way, was exactly what their relationship was.

A very, very sick child indeed.

Just a rough draft for a maybe part of a maybe story
