Five years earlier.....
''What are you gonna be when you grow up, Abby?'' The short teacher Miss Clemingtine asked. Abby came out of her daydreams, and looked up at her teacher.
Abby Dawson smiled. ''I don't need a job, I just want to get married, have kids, the perfect life.'' Abby said. As her classmates laughed at her, the teacher looked suprised and taken back. That's not the kind of answer a typical 11-year old would say.
Five years later.
''Abby! Dawn! Megan! Toby! Time for school.'' Abby's mother; Claire yelled.
Abby should probably explain why she yelled for four different people. Toby and Dawn were her siblings, and Megan was her stepfather's young daughter.
''Coming!'' Abby yelled, jumping out of bed. Abby threw the clothes that was all over her bed off of her face, obviously Toby had been in charge of laundry and he just simply threw Abby's clothes on her face.
''Thanks, Toby.'' Abby whispered to herself.
Abby walked up to the mirror hanging on the back of her closet door, her short red hair was a mess, her catlike green eyes looked bloodshot. Oh, yeah. I'm gonna be the main atraction today, Abby thought.
After Abby put on her makeup, she pulled a dark blue v-neck shirt over her head and blue jeans, she put her silver hoops on and grabbed her brown messenger bag, and walked out of her room.
''Find your laundry?'' Toby teased.
''How could I possibly miss it when it's on my face.'' Abby said. Toby smiled and started to walk down the stairs.
''Well, I guess-'' Toby started. Suddenley Abby blinked and Toby was falling down the stairs. Claire rushed to Toby's side.
''Something pushed me!'' Toby yelled.
''Was it Abby?'' Dawn asked, rounding the corner.
''No! We were just talking and then he fell, I swear Mom.'' Abby said. Claire seemed to believe her, but Dawn wasn't buying it.
''Ugh, your such a liar.'' Dawn said. Abby glared at her. Abby blinked again and noticed that someone was standing in the yard- a woman in a white dress, the kind of dress you wore in the old days, Abby blinked again quickly and the woman was gone. Abby thought it was strange, but she simply shrugged her shoulders.

After the ambulance came to pick up Toby, Abby felt a rise in her throat.
''What's going on with me?'' Abby asked herself.
Abby heard a loud clang, she jumped slightly, all of a sudden Abby saw people all around her, staring her down, some were smirking evilly, some were glaring, but they all stared. Abby didn't scream, didn't move, all she did was stand still. One thought processed thruh her mind. These..aren't people, they are dead.

After the dead people were gone, Abby didn't cower in a corner like a normal person instead she got on the internet, to search information regarding spirits and people who can see dead people. Then one word came up; Phychic. Abby's eyes widened, she couldn't possibly. It wasn't because she doesn't believe in that stuff, it was because she was Abby Dawson, a teenager, that used to play with mud instead of barbies, a simple girl, but there was something different about Abby, she never felt typical or normal.
Abby set her jaw tight. ''I am not a phychic.'' Abby said, closing the laptop and walking outside. Abby heard a car door open, she saw her stepdad James carrying the four-year old Megan, Toby was leaning against his girlfriend Jessika, Dawn was to engaged in her phone call, and her mother Claire had carried the stuff that was in the backseat. Usaully Abby would give Megan a kiss before she walked in the door, slap Toby on the back of his head, steal Dawn's phone, and help her mother carry in her objects. Her mother noticed her change of the behavior.
''What's wrong, Ab's?'' Claire asked, struggling to keep Megan's car seat in her arms. Abby looked up, but she didn't answer, she continued to stare blankly at the big tree in thier front yard. Claire sighed in distress, but she didn't push the subject, she just walked in the house.
Before Toby entered the house, Abby caught his arm. ''Can I talk to you for a second?'' She asked.
Toby slightly smiled. ''Sure,'' He said, with Jessika still on his arm.
She rolled her eyes. ''Alone,'' She pressed.
He rolled his eyes. He gave Jessika a peck on the lips then sent her in the house. ''What?'' He said, leaning against the white house.
She narrowed her eyes, then looked directly at him. ''Are you OK?'' She asked.
He sighed. ''Why? So you can gloat at your accomplishment.'' He said.
She rolled her eyes again. ''You don't honestly think that I pushed you?'' She asked.
He folded his arms over his chest. ''Your my brother, Toby. I wouldn't do that to you.'' She admitted.
He sighed. ''Whatever,'' And walked back into the house. Leaving Abby alone, or was she really alone?
''I know you are there. Now either you tell me what you want....or you....leave me alone!'' Abby screamed, feeling and seeing the spirit.

''Yo, Abby's outside screaming at nothing.'' Toby said. Toby's girlfriend Jessika muttered something under her breath, apparently Toby heard because he laughed.
''She is such a freak.'' Dawn said.
''What's wrong with Abby?'' James asked Claire.
''I don't know. Dawn claims that she pushed Toby, but you should have seen her face she was just as shocked as me.'' Claire responded.
''Oh, well Chloe Webber, Susan Stratton, and Courtney Stanford were asking for Abby today.'' James declared.
''Ooh, Chloe's hot.'' Toby said, as Jessika smacked him on the arm.
''Why would she look for Abby? They are not even friends...'' Dawn said.
Before anyone could say anything, Abby rushed in, fear crept into her eyes.
''Mom, I think I'm phychic.'' Abby said. They all stared at her as if she had gone crazy.
''What the hell is wrong with you?'' Toby asked.
''How about you get a fabulous vacation to the Mental Facilty?'' Jessika asked.
They didn't believe her, how could she make this up? Abby felt the pressure coming down on her. She started to breathe heavily, and then she ran out of the house. Running down the street, she kept seeing spirits. Finally she screamed, letting all her anger and frustration out.
''I'm getting suffocated by the dead of the darkness.'' Abby muttered.
