Sissy P.O.V
Bored.
I was bored and tired of staying in the house.

Pa and Ma always left to attend work. They always tell me its to provide for the family.

For once I wish Pa and Ma would actually spend time with the family. Especially now...

Johnny was off to school and Sarah was a grown woman now. No need to stay with us anymore.

So since Pa and Ma were too busy to spend time with me, I was off on the road for a walk.

Pa always warns me about robbers and bandits. But I was 12. Practically a teen.

Besides, this place has been my home since forever. Pa is way to protective of me.

I start myself on the trail. The trail Ma always took me on when we went fetching for water.

Everything goes good until a group of cowboys who I was guessing were bandits surrounded me.

I swear I never listen to Pa...I'm a daring child says the Mayor.
I begin to scream. The bandits pulled out there guns to threaten me to "shut my mouth"

I'm a foolish girl. I just wish I had listened to Pa...

Doc P.O.V
I hear a voice of a little girl. It was close..It had sounded like she was screaming for help.

I got on my horse and rode to the sound. As I got closer to the sound I saw a group of bandits surrounding her.

The girl was most beautiful. So I rode faster. Lucky my horse was quiet tired from yesterday...it was quiet...beyond.

I had finally got to the little girl. Her face filled with tears. I shot one of the bandits. The others turned around and focused on me.

They fired, but missed. Bandits were really just townspeople who were beyond desperate for money and crime.

They were not really skilled gunspeople, but still knew how to knock a cowboy off his horse.

I fired back. On the otherhand I was an expert gun person. Trained.

My father who was once the sheriff taught me how to aim directly and accurately as possible. My father said it was in my blood.

When I turned 19 my father had died from a horrible disease that was spreading quickly throughout the town. Lots fled...I stayed with my father.

As a 20 year old who was the sheriff's son...its hard. The town depends on you.

I continued to fire at the stubborn bandits.

It was hard work fighting off 5 bandits, but it had been done.

Once all were dead I rode my horse to the girl who hid behind a rock.

"Are you okay miss?"

The girl didn't respond, she was too frightened to even nod or shake her head. I felt for the girl...

I looked at her. She was too beautiful for a little girl. She looked to be 12 or 13.

"Come on my horse I'll take you home."

She didn't say a word ,but followed me to my horse. She got onto my horse and I got on too.

We rode for a while until I asked,
"Where's your home little lady?"

She pointed to the little house on the corner. I rode directly there.

I lifted her off my horse. She ran to her house ,but stopped and said,
"Thank you Mister."

I dipped my hat and was off.

Sissy P.O.V
After being rescued by a man who looked to be the sheriff's son I had to say thank you.

After thanking the man I entered my nice and calm home. I was scared...but happy I was safe. Pa was right...it is a cruel world...but there one thing he forgot.

In this cruel world there are good people...

I smiled to myself and gathered the table for dinner. Johnny was to be on his way and Pa and Ma were already close home.
